Wonder's EBPC 9/12/14 Who's Going With Us!

You and Steve can coordinate on that, all I will do is get the form up and going so all of everyone's info is easy for them to sign up! I'll get it going when I get back and then it's up to y'all!

Maybe Steve and I can arm wrestle over which one of us will call. (He'll probably beat me!!!)

Just wondering if we have any fellow Geocachers in our group?

Ok, have to admit here I had to look this one up. I'm not up on all the latest jargon. Soooooooooooooooo, I have to say here, I have never done this, or don't even know how to go about starting!!!!:confused3

Has anyone in this group done this cruise before? I know it's so far away but I would love to hear first hand what we're in for. (Can you tell I'm the over-planning like crazy type?)

We have been Geocaching since 2002. We have done it on every vacation since then. We have discovered some amazing things that we would have probably found otherwise. Last time I checked they could be found in over 200 countries. If you are interested you can get an app for your phone. You can sign up at Geocaching.com. It's free :cheer2:

So my daughter wants to know if there will be any kids/ girls around her age when we sail? princess: she will be 10 at the time. I will probably post again at a later date as well.

I feel really stupid...and it's late at night here and I'm reading some of this stuff and thinking...what??? this is a family cruise right??? LOL...told you I'm tired.

@ Steve...our thoughts and prayers are with you and your step-father for a speedy recovery.

@ KSquires ...congratulations on your upcoming wedding...doesn't say where you're from...we have lots of Squires in our area! We'll be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on the cruise!

Thank you. Finally got him to a really good hospital for the surgery. That was a victory in itself.

Morning everyone!!! Isn't it a fine Tuesday morning. Here in Florida the sun is out shining so grand, the birds are chirping, the squirrels.............well the squirrels are being as squirrelly as usual, it's suppose to get up to 75 today, and 80 by Thursday!!! Oh, and did I tell ya'll that I am off of work today!!!!:cool2:

Beverly, I hope you and your family do get to sneak in a Disney Cruise before this one!!! Glad your parents are joining us as well on this cruise. Oh and....................looks like you would make the perfect candidate to do the FE list. Let's see a show of hands -:wave: Two votes from Donna and me. Thank you :thanks: Beverly for volunteering. :cool1:

BTW, I nominate Beverly too. :)

grumble grumble that means I got volunteered at the same time.. :crazy2:

LOL.. nah all good and well.. I'm Bev's DH. Just wanted to say HI..

Hello, Bev's husband!! Glad you are joining us on the thread. My name is David, I'm semi-retired..................and loving it!!!! My DW, Donna, still works full time..................and NOT loving it!!!! We have wanted to do this cruise for sometime now, and are finally getting around to doing it. Going to spend a few days at Disneyland first. Our first at Disneyland, then take this cruise and sail home. Welcome aboard!!!:thumbsup2

I can also call if you need a backup. Working only part time gives me extra time to help out in the planning. Just let me know!!! Glad to help where and whenever I can. :thumbsup2

Don't let her fool you she call herself semi retired and the other days she barely work anyways ;) (I think I will end up sleeping in the dog house tonight)

Ok, I miss a few hours yesterday, because I had to do my yard work..........and I almost missed out on everything!!!!. Like Steve said our group is growing bigger whith each passing day now.:cool1: (Well, almost each day.)

Question time for all. Does anyone have plans of hitting the excercise room on board the Wonder during this cruise? We will be having allot of sea days:cool1::banana::cool1::banana: during our cruise. Now there will be allot of special activities that Disney will have planned for us all, I assume, on these sea days. But do you plan on using the excercise room on board? I workout on an elliptical, (I lovingly call it THE TORTURE MACHINE!!! ), about 5 or 6 times a week. My family doctor made me do it!!! Says it is good for the ol' ticker and to help me lose a couple of pounds. (I have lost almost 25 pounds since I started using THE TORTURE MACHINE a couple of years ago. But, that stupid thing is a man killer.......a man killer I tell you. DW didn't want me to have to drive to a gym to use one so she went out and bought one for our own personal use here in the home. That is one ugly beast sitting there in our spare bedroom. I have nightmares, that it is coming after me sometimes!!!! I was just wondering what everyones plans are, with all of the brunches we all are planning and the GREAT food on board the ship. (And if there was going to be a mad rush to the excercise room............................................................I wasn't going to go!!!!!):confused3

if it doesn't include a beer glass or a camera then thanks no excersise for me ;) only time I will be in that room is during the open house the first day to get lucky and win a spa visit or a shave or something like that ;)
Last cruise we did they had a weightloss type program, that included fat measurment and nutrition assistance and stuff, the guy that headed it up looked at me and made a comment "of course there are some people that don't need this one" ;)
I'm the person people loves to hate because I'm skinny and yet I eat almost anything and everything and eat a lot of it.. LOL Just ask my wife, she claims she gain 5lbs just looking at the stuff I eat

We would like to say hello to every who has joined recently. It amazes me how active this thread is for a cruise that is 18 months away. I think this is a sign of how much fun we are going to have.

My wife and I re erly risers so we usually make it to the gym as soon as it opens.

It's pretty crazy how active this one is and the cruise JUST got announced and is so far away.. This going to be a fun cruise and we will have a lot of time to get to know each others before, hopefully we don't end up hating each other by the time the cruise comes ;)

You might see me stumble back to my room by the time you head to the gym in that case.. #nightowl

So my daughter wants to know if there will be any kids/ girls around her age when we sail? princess: she will be 10 at the time. I will probably post again at a later date as well.

My DD will be 11 at the time of the cruise, she is very social and friendly. During the last couple of cruises she have become e-mail pal with some other girls her age and later met up with them on board. I'm sure they will not be the only girls in that age group onboard.

Thanks David, sounds like the reverse of me and Bev ;) she is the "semi retired" one and makes me work full time (alright we own our own business so if you can actually semi retire from that is questionable LOL).

We done numerous cruises and wanted to do the a TA cruise and doing that this summer (EBTA) and I made a comment that a panama cruise would be really cool , so when they announced the 2014 she suggested it (also the grandparents had said years back they where planning on dong one) so she asked about asking them to. So the rest is now history.. We are doing the EBPC cruise... Can't wait to see the Panama Canal. :woohoo:

Alright for the people that done this cruise before or been in the area.

I'm the photographer in the family and curious if there are any other photographers on here and do anyone know what photo ops or what is worth exploring during the Panama crossing?? Time to start researching ... :surfweb:

Since it is a 14 night cruise, I do believe you can make two online.

Would anyone possibly be interested in doing a private brunch? I think the private room can accommodate up to 14 people and it would be a great way for us all to hang out for a short bit and get better acquainted.

Just a thought.
No, you can only make ONE of each type of Palo reservation no matter the cruise length. I have done a few 14 and 14+ day cruises...only one Palo dinner and one Palo brunch. So, if you do sign up for a group one, DCL will cancel your individual reservation and you have to try for another one once on board. Also, there is a limit of 12-14 people for each group brunch reservation. The reservation will need to be made about 45 days before sailing.

Have never done it - but have looked into it - I know we're not going to CC but heard there is one there....and that's about all I know about it - sorry!
Yep - there is one. I was part of the team that placed it...I will get the coordinates from the person who keeps track of the thing. (I know where it is, but don't geocache so no coordinates)

Has anyone in this group done this cruise before? I know it's so far away but I would love to hear first hand what we're in for. (Can you tell I'm the over-planning like crazy type?)
first - relax...I did the first WBPC in 2005, what a mess! They have it down better. Expect a lot of fun, relaxation, food, and as many activities as you want to do!

I recently bought my wife a DSLR. She's been going nuts with the thing. My guess is that she'll be behind her viewfinder more often than not.

You sound like my wife, she can eat and eat and won't gain an oz. Me on the other hand - I have no problem at all putting on weight. So, I have to watch what I eat, and eat less. This all started happening as I seemed to get older!!!:scared1: Don't know why, I am probably in better shape health wize then I was when I was younger!!! :confused3 Go Figure!!!

This is going to be a GREAT cruise. We are a fun bunch on this cruise. :cool1:

Well for us, when the economy went down in 2008 or so, it hurt the printing industry pretty hard. So, the company I work for had to reduce everyones salary to keep the doors open. With the promise, they would give it back when the economy improves. Well, that ain't happen'n!!!! Anywho, I was at an age where I could retire with social security and work part-time at my same salary for 3 days a week - 6 hours a day those 3 days, and bring home more money per month then working full time. So it was a no brainer!! Plus wifey has me at home to do the chores, and cook dinner each evening. So, she is on easy street herself!!! (Not really!!!) :thumbsup2

Thank you. Finally got him to a really good hospital for the surgery. That was a victory in itself.
We reside in Calgary Alberta. Up in the frozen north at the moment. Please be kind when telling us about sitting outside with a beer and mowing the lawn. lol
