We are thinking about taking our DDs (ages 4 and 7) to the Ta Party.

Is this a good age?

Can the parents stay and watch?

Thanks for any other input.

Is this a good age?
Depends on your kids. Will they be ok being iwht strangers for an hour wihtout you
Can the parents stay and watch?
No. Parents must leave the room. You can stay out in the lobby and try to watch through the curtains, but you'll probably be a distraction to the kids.

My 4 1/2 DD and 9 DNi did the tea party last yr and loved it.

My DD has done the Tea Party three times and LOVES it there!!! She is very shy, and I didn't think she'd stay that first time. The CM's are great with the kids - Allison never even turned back to say goodbye! We usually go have a drink by the pool or have lunch at the GF Cafe. Right before its over, the parents will usually start peeking in the door (its french doors that you can kind of see through the sheer curtains) - and the kids would yell "No Peeking"!

Allison has such a great time at the Tea Party - you get to decorate your own cupcake! The first time she went, when I picked her up, she very excitedly told me all about the party and then asked - Do you know that your finger is the knife - you can spread the icing with your finger and you get to lick your fingers after!

Its really a lot of fun for the kids - we'll be trying it again this October! When dropping off and picking up my DD, I've never seen any of the kids crying or anything. They all seemed to have had a great time!

I'm so happy to hear such glowing reports. My 2 dds 3 & 6 are scheduled for this in AUgust. I'm sure they will love it.

I would love to let my 5 yr DD do this, but don't think I could stand the pain of no photo ops. Are there any chances to take pictures? Are there any characters there?

leave a camera and the CM's will snap away for you. Alice and the Mad hatter are there. I can't remember if any other characters are or not. You can also take a few pics before you leave. Iwanted on of hte girls at the table with is all set up nice. I had plenty of time to take pics before having to leave.
