Wonderland Tea Party - what do we do?

I made a reservation for DD-6 this morning at the GF, Wonderland Tea Party from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29th.

I also made reservations for hubby and me at the Garden Tea at the GF at 2:00 p.m. (first seating), planning on getting DD when it finished at 2:30, and letting her join us.

Does this sound like a good plan? And what could DH possible have at the Tea. Is he going to die of boredom? It's so pretty I wanted to sit in there, but wanted some real food.

Or is there a better suggestion on how to kill an hour at the GF that anyone has?

Well your best bet would be to go to www.allearsnet.com and check out the menue. That way you know if dh will eat anything. It's just tea sandwhiches and things like strawberries and cream and pastries and such. You can also do a search and find people's reviews. I have read before that many men enjoyed the tea and said it was something relaxing to do . I made a ressie for me and dh for sept and he has no problem with it. It's just something that is a nice slow and relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the parks. If you don't think hubby will go for that then you can go down to the marina and rent water mice ( now the sea raycers i believe) for 30 min and take a fun ride around baylake. Hubby and I did this the year before last and he still talks about how much fun it was and that he cant wait to do it in sept since we will be at WL and they have them there. Or you can just take a monorail ride around to some of the other resorts and take a look, or just enjoy the grounds and lobby at the GF cause it is so beautiful.oh and for the tea I ordered the cinderella slipper for me and the little mini castle cake for hubby as a surprise. Your daughter might love that if you want to dish out the money.The slippers are $14 and the cake was $25! I ordered them from the GF bakery and I can't wait to see dh's face and to take pics of these beautiful desserts for our scrap boook.Have a great trip whatever you decide!!!

I am a single mom and I am traveling alone with my DD4 this October. She is going to to the Wonderland Tea and I plan on sitting in the lobby for that lovely hour and having a moment to myself. I will probably just sit and read and just relax.
