Taking my 4.5 year old to WDW in May. We are DVC and somewhat frugal in our restaurant and activity spend. Last year we had breakfast at Tusker House, breakfast at Crystal Palace, and lunch at CRT. She loved eating with the princesses and as we are staying at BCV we are going to try Akershus this year. Other character meals she was fine with but not hugely positive.

We want to do 1-2 special experiences other than Akershus this year. I saw the Wonderland Tea Party and it looks like a good value for Disney. My daughter is outgoing and would be fine without us. I made reservations for a Magic Kingdom day.

The other choices would be BBB or another character meal. I am kind of meh on character meals as I also have a toddler and spending $150 to wrangle her through our meal is of questionable value.

Thoughts?

Could you show your child some images or youtube videos of the two experiences and see what her preference is? I agree with you on the character meal - you've done many, I would choose between BBB and Wonderland Tea Party for a different type of experience. There are also the children's pirate cruises and even the kids' activity centers which my DS actually enjoys most in WDW!
