Has anyone had their DS attend the Wonderland Tea Party? My daughter LOVED it a couple of years ago and I just made reservations for her to go again in June. The CM on the phone told me lots of boys go and convinced me to make a reservation for my 5 yr. old son as well, thus giving a 1 hr. "honeymoon" for DH and me!

However, DD insists that the last time she went there were NO boys - I think maybe she just doesn't want to deal with baby brother!

What do you think? I know the activities are suited for boys, too...I just don't want him to be the only boy in a sea of princesses...DH wouldn't be too thrilled about that either!

Any thoughts???:earsgirl:

We haven't done it yet ourselves, but the reservationist also talked us into signing up our DS in addition to DD. DS is 3.5, DD 5.5. I have read messages in the past that there have been boys in attendance.

My kids are each other's best buddies (at least for now;) !!!), so I don't know if DS will notice or care about there being mostly girls. In less than two weeks, we'll find out for sure!

Please post your thoughts when you return! Hopefully you'll say I should keep the reservation:earsgirl:

I have a son and dauther. I booked both for the pirate cruise, so I booked both for the Tea Party to be fair. My son was 5 at the time, there was 3 other boys there then. He then asked to go back the following year, he said Mad Hatter and Alice both paid a lot of attention to him. The 2nd time he went there was 4 boys.

I just double-checked my dd's photos of her time at the Tea Party. There were boys there. The Mad Hatter is there too and at least one of the CMs is male. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Hi, my 9 year old dd did the Tea Party when she was 7 years old. I remember at least three boys there, but I think there were more. I think it's definately an ALL KID event. I would send my ds when he is old enough to go. My ds was only 15 months old at the time dd did the party. He fell asleep and dh and I DID INDEED HAVE A 90 MINUTE HONEYMOON! It was lovely! We walked over to the counter service restaurant at GF and shared a yummy ham sandwich, had coffee and chatted. I love hanging with my kids, but it was sure refreshing to just spend time with dh on vacation! GO FOR IT! S

Thank you all so much for your input! I'm so glad to know other boys enjoyed it... I will definitely keep the reservation!

I tried to get input from a snoring DH this a.m. and after a few groans, I told him never mind, I'd found new friends who would give much better input anyway!! Knew you wouldn't let me down!

Thanks again:earsgirl:

Please try to post :) We were just reading about this the other day. My son is totally into the girl characters...he was a total flirt on our last trip with Cinderella and Alice;) But his all time favorite is Mulan so seeing her at the Norway breakfast was absolutley the best for him :)

I definatley want to do the Pirate Cruise for him, but if there are boys that also attend this, we would totally sign up for that too!! Of course, this is March, come our trip in December, he could totally change his tune :D

I had my son, nephew, and 2 nieces participate in the Tea Party and the Pirates Cruise on the same day. They all enjoyed both of these activities. When my crew was there only the Mad Hatter and CM were there as Alice wasn't able to make the party. This didn't seem to bother any of the kids. I think your son would find other boys there. The CM were wonderful with the kids so I didn't worry about them at all. As a matter of fact the Captain of their Pirates Cruise was there to help at the Tea Party. They all loved Captain Bob and still talk about him and the cruise.

If it makes you feel any better, I've got plans to sign my 6 year old grand DAUGHTER up for the Pirates Cruise....

and DANG, that is so cute that the boys WANT to do the Tea Party!

:)

4mickeyfans and dvcfamily41801...I will try to remember to post how it went after our return! My son's a flirt, too, so it ought to be interesting!!!;)

My nephew has attended the tea party, as well as the cooking class and pirates cruise. He had a ball (why shouldn't he?). If you look at my photos of the tea party, you will see boys in attendance as well as girls: click here to view them.

I wish I were young enough to attend all those great activities at the GF. Maybe in my next lifetime. ;)
