wondering why crowd predictions for Feb 18 -21 are so busy.

We thought we were doing really good booking the weekend after presidents day. several places have this as a very busy weekend. Just wondering why and what the park hours may look like when we are there on Feb 18-21.

That week is mid-winter break for us in WA. Maybe the same for local schools? We went that week in '09 and I don't recall it being super busy. Then again I did have a 5 month in tow so my memory may not be the best

its busy cuz many schools have moved away from 2 weeks off at easter to now having the entire week of president's day off and then just one week at easter.

In the northeast, we always get that week off from school. President's day weekend and the weekend after (and the week in between) are very crowded!

Locals call it Ski Week. It's a week off for Presidents' Day.

I live in WI and I'm not sure if the whole state is off, but in our area that is midwinter break.

I haven't ever heard of schools having those days off. Thank you for the info everyone. At least we can take advantage of the parks longer hours.

Yes, yes it is!

I won't say "Spring Break crowds" but definitely higher/busy weekend crowds, all week long.

Phew...we're heading home on the 11th so hopefully we miss this.

My bad didn't realize this was at DL not WDW.

It is Princess Half Marathon Weekend. This is one of the bigger events and happens in the morning so loads of runners will be at the parks.

But since that's at WDW and OP is asking about DLR, this probably isn't a huge factor
