Wondering about roll- in shower we had.

Its's been 15 years since we've had a DVC villa with a roll-in shower, but on this last trip we did. We had tan OKW GV, and in order to get one for my ECV, we had to get HA. Unlike 15 years ago, we had a rubber tube-like lip on the shower. However, it was soft, hollow so it could easily be flattened, and best of all, it kept the water from splashing all over. Just curious, is this a change in the way roll-in showers are made, or is this just a quirk of the one we got?

I think it’s standard for someone who needs to transfer from their own wheelchair to the bench or needs to rent/bring their own shower chair.

Shower chairs are common in most US hotels, even ones that aren't very expensive. We had no trouble getting one at Disney when we weren't in an accessible room. I'm not sure we've ever had trouble borrowing one anywhere.

When OKW was renovated, those gaskets were added to the roll in showers. We’ve had roll in showers with those on trips since 2018.
We also had the same type of gasket (but in black) at Saratoga renovated room with roll in shower
