We are currently booked at POR king room for our trip in March but now I am wondering if I should switch over to POFQ? From different comments it seems this is a smaller resort and that the bus service is a little better at POFQ. For anyone who has stayed at both with regards to the rooms and decor which did you prefer? I have looked at pictures of both resorts and not sure if I would really like the theming at POFQ, the rooms look kind of dark. Also where do we have to go to catch the boat to DD? Is this at POR or does POFQ offer this option? I am going crazy trying to decide if I made the right choice with resorts. Also I am afraid if I call my TA and change resorts again she is going to beat me! :rotfl: I need opinions please. Also if this helps it is only myself and husband going so there are no children with us and we both are in good health so walking isn't a problem. We stayed at CBR in 2004 and liked it there but thought we would try something different. Is the size of POR comparable to CBR? Thanks for any help

Well i heard that no matter which po you stay at ..they are both very nice. Remember you are at disney, so everything mostly will be nice. Are you a DVC member? I think for the price the moderate resorts like port orleans is the best for the money. I would stick with it.

I think you'll be happy with POR. I have stayed at both, and most of the trouble I had with the size of POR had to do with the logistics of my traveling party--me and my son (about age 3 at the time). He was too old for a stroller but was still tired easily from lots of walking, and he was really unhappy about the walk over to the food court for me to get coffee/ sodas/ whatever. Because I'm a single parent, I had to take him with me--normally, I'd leave him in the room if we had someone else there to stay with him. We also went to POR right before it was refurbished--it was literally a matter of weeks before they redid it--so when we were there the buildings were showing some wear and tear. Now that it has been taken care of (and I'm sure it's beautiful) and it is a trip for you and your husband, I think you will prefer the atmosphere of POR to POFQ. I found POFQ more suitable for my son and I, but for reasons that don't sound like they'd make a difference for you. POR has beautiful grounds with so much to offer....I think you made the right choice! :flower:
