My Mom and Dad and I were looking at going to Cooke's of Dublin during our next trip, but we were wondering if it was worth it. We haven't really seen any reviews about it so we were just wondered what other people thought about it if you been? My Dad can't eat onions do you know if they put onions in the food? We are on the quick service dining plan is it worth it? Thanks for your info!:cool1:

Here's a menu:

No onions that I noticed and I do not like onions so I think I would have noticed. Our biggest complaint was that everything we had was cooked in the same batter and by the time we got to dessert, we were sick of the batter. We had fish and chips or scallops and chips and shrimp and chips. The fish or scallops and shrimp were good but the battered fries were just okay. The mini donuts were horrible. They were just globs of the same batter. The candy bar was slightly better. I would go back and not have dessert but DH said he would not consider going back. He did not like it at all.

We ate there in August. The scallops were not very good, no taste. The fish and chips was better and they do have a nice tartar sauce. We shared a doh-bar for dessert and ended up throwing it away... really gross.

If your dad can't have onions because of an allergy, you may want to avoid this place. I'm pretty sure they were frying the seafood in one set of fryers, and the o-rings and chips together in another set.

I hate to admit it but the Fish and Chips at the CS in England at Epcot is much nicer.

The fish I had at Cooke's was beyond awful.

It was not a scrod like you would expect.
It was dark grey almost black fish and tasted awful.
I think it may have been tilapia.

Whatever it was it was the cheapest fish they could find IMO.
