I keep hearing about the fantastic turkey legs at MK and they are absolutely on my list to try during our next trip. My question is, wouldn't the turkey legs at the other parks be the same? I only hear about the MK legs and I was just wondering if they are any different? :confused3

Yes, they'll be the same at all the parks. I think maybe it just feels more of a tradition to people to get them at MK. My sister loves them, and I use to like them until I had to cook them.

aahhh....a turkey leg and a frozen Coke....our favorite meal at WDW...

At Epcot they are only available outside the American Adventure. The turkey was desired to be the national bird by Ben Franklin, instead of the bald eagle. That is why turkey legs are only available at the AA. (Backstage Magic tour information)

I have also seen turkey legs in Future World, on a cart when we were on our way to Test Track when we left Mouse Gears store. Love those legs

If you have never tried one, remember they are smoked and have a flavor and consistency more of ham than thanksgiving turkey. But oh SO good!!

If you like ham, you'll like the leg. It's very...ham-y. I felt gross after eating it as did my DBF. It totally ruined our trip to Boma...blech. But to each his/her own.

Here's some food porn for you:

My kids love these but tradition is Only at the MK at night!

Usually before we leave and slowly stroll late at night down Main Street USA when the parks empty...

I'm really sorry .. I have no intention of creating drama here..
But that just looks so yucky

I don't understand the appeal of these. The smell makes me sick. One time I was in line behind someone who was eating one and I could barely take it!

We tried one and ate maybe 10% of it before we all decided to go get something else to eat instead!:rotfl:

We always just buy one between the whole group and all get our photo taken eating it. Most of us don't want more than a bite but the kids think that they are fun.

My question is -- Does anyone ever go back & get a 2nd leg? Those things make me want to hurl.

I feel the same way. Yet every time we go to Disney I have to get another one. Then I walk around for thr next hour asking my wife why I get them if I don't like them. I think maybe they inject Crack juice in them.:confused3

That's why I got one a few years ago, just because it would make a funny picture. I really wasn't impressed with the flavor and ended up getting really tired of it after 2 bites.

Our DS, who is 21, bought one on our last trip. It was an extremely hot day, and needless to say, it did not sit well with him. We all thought that the heat played a part in this incident - but afterwards we realized it was just too greasy. Perhaps he'll try again during a cooler visit - but somehow I doubt it.

1) Yes.
2) The turkey legs are all the same.
3) Just enjoy.

PS - Try not to feel guilty about all those turkeys walking around on crutches.

Yes. We usually get 2 a day! Especially when my Dad is with us. Between my girls and him they can easily go through a few legs.
