My DW and I experienced a wonderful story while eating at California Grill. We had a late PS so my DS could sleep through dinner and DW and I could enjoy a nice meal together. In the course of the dinner we met a very nice couple from Minnesota at the table next to us who noticed our little one sleeping soundly. Thru small talk they told us they were on their 40th wedding anniversary and this was their first trip to WDW. We talked about their trip so far and how they were enjoying themselves. Of course being their anniversary the wait staff made their meal special and brought them a special dessert, but what makes this story special is when the waitress brought the bill and as they opened it to find a Happy Anniversary note from all of their kids who had paid for the meal and a bottle of champagne. The couple was overcome with emotions and they graciously shared the champagne with us for a toast. I thought this was a wonderful story and what a nice thing for their children to do for them.

Those were obviously good parents you were sitting next to! They raised great kids! How wonderful!

That is a wonderful story! That couple must be some special parents, to have such thoughtful kids!

This happened in Feb. for my husband and me. It was our 30th anniversary and we had dinner at CRT. The service was great, but our waiter disappeared after dinner and we needed the check! Well, all of a sudden a gentleman came over with Cinderella and presented us with the dessert sampler and a card. It was from our daughter and son-in-law in California. Steve, the gentleman, was the manager of CRT and he explained everything to us. It seems our daughter had called and wanted to pay for our dinner but we weren't to be told until after. She said we wouldn't order what we really wanted if we knew they were paying! She sent our anniversary card to him and he suggested having Cinderella deliver it to us. He took pictures for us and I cried. After we left he took the time to call our daughter to let her know everything went great. This made my whole trip. Steve was wonderful and i sent a great letter commenting on the time he took to make everything perfect. This is what Disney Magic is all about.

Hey Steve is my manager!! He's only been there since January but he is SOOOOO guest oriented its great!! I love working with him when I go down to work!! He's my favorite manager. And the cool thing, hes great with his CMs too!!

How great! I love this story!

These were two of the nicest stories I've ever heard relating to WDW. Thank you so much for sharing them and reminding all of us that 1. there IS a "light at the end of the tunnel" in regards to our children and 2. CMs like Steve are the "true magic" of Disney.

All the best, Wilma:) ;) :p
