Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

So, we have a studio booked at SSR for Friday night.... :lmao:

What we will do once we are there is still up in the air. Don't want to activate our Annual passes for the one day because we actually have three trips planned on them and if we use them in September, they won't be good for October next year. It's pretty close in what the costs will be and like I told DH, I would rather spend the money having fun than to change a flight. Yes, I don't have the weekend to get ready to go back to work after two and a half weeks off, but I don't think the one day will totally ruin my relax. We may just lay around by the pool! Because of course we will not have gotten enough of THAT!! :lmao:

We are heading over to WDW next month for the Flower Festival at EPCOT. We go every year. We both enjoy seeing all the flowers and seeing EPCOT all dressed up in bright colors.

Love Flower and Garden, we usually go, but this May was not a good time to go, we don't go in April when there are spring breaks to deal with. But we are going next May for sure!

I live in fear of that. Once they're gone I'm gonna have empty nest syndrome something awful.

I did for a little while, but actually they are both nearby and over all the time, plus the grandkids...they are both in their 30s so it's been a while!

I cried for 6 mo before my middle child eft for the Navy and when our youngest left for college, her second week gone we went on our first official empty nest cruise. (Cruised during Hurricane Katrina- that was interesting.) I've adjusted but it was so very, very hard for me. I'm grateful they, and the grandkids, live close by. In 2.5 weeks we are taking them all to WDW for a week for my family reunion. It's the grandkids first trip and they are so excited~ as are we!

We don't plan on going to Epcot on the weekend we get back from the cruise, any other park yes...but the last time we went to the Food & Wine Festival on the weekend, it was insane!! Too many college kids getting way too drunk. It was very uncomfortable there. We were really surprised that Disney didn't have a better handle on it. :confused3

Kinda my plan, live as close as they'll let me then sorta move right in. :lmao:

Question for you all frequent flyers out there. Hopefully you can settle a disagreement..........................or should I say an argument by DW and I. Have any of you received the Castaway Cay back pack as your gift for a cruise? And, if so, will that back pack fit under your plane seat. I say it will fit, DW not so sure. (Please keep in mind, your answer will determine if I sleep on the couch or in the bed tonight!!!) Thank you in advance.

LOL! You should be sleeping in your bed. There should not be a problem with the backpack fitting under the seat.

Yep, it's smaller than the laptop back back that I carry around. And than fits under easily.

It will. I brought it as my carry on personal item after the last cruise.

Is that the backpack that is also the picnic cooler? I saw that in the gifts section. Looks like a great bag! We only have the red, sort-of -tote beach bag which is great but not nearly big enough for our carry-on! We almost always try to take the max size allowed so we lessen the # of checked bags.

It is a blue and black back pack that has Castaway Club in red letters on the front. It was a gift we received in our stateroom for booking another cruise with Disney. It has nice wide shoulder straps so they won't cut in to your shoulders. It has two mesh pockets, one on each side to hold a water bottle. Hope this helps.

Yeah dude totally will fit under your seat. In fact, last cruise on the way back... (okay this is bad/embarrassing but y'all know I'm clumsy) I used that bag to elevate my ankle on the flight home. It's the perfect height.

Right now we're debating on which port excursions we want to do. I want to do the Chivas thing in Columbia (because I'm scared of Columbia and want a tour guide), and we all agreed to beach day in Cabo.

Went to the DCL website and bought us 2 Panama Canal T's They will be in our room when we board!!!
I posted about this on the FB page - just be aware that when you purchase items (including water, wine, beer etc) through the webpage you are paying sales tax. I suggest you NOT order any wine packages via the web - the Calif sales tax is around 10% I think...so you are paying 20.00 you could use elsewhere. (IMHO)

If you are interested in one of these backpacks PM me - I have an extra I would be willing to part with.
