I just had to share. I called MS a bit ago to make a change to a reservation. I had the most upbeat, friendly, fantastic CM! Her name is GiGi (no idea if I'm spelling that right). She is someone I wish I could get every time I called.

Thanks GiGi for putting a smile on my face! :goodvibes

Oh, and I sent a message to Member Satisfaction to know how happy I was too.

I had a great CM at MS a few days ago - name Kitty.
Kitty -Gi GI.......think these are real names?

I had Cambria the other day, not sure if that's how it's spelled, lot's of cool names at MS, that is great you had such a great castmember, it's usually hit or miss with me, I could usually tell when they are taking my member number what kind of phone call it will be

Reservation CMs do not use their real names - that is what I was told when they did the face to face bounce back trial a few years ago. I made the reservation with a young man at the BCV who told me his real name but said if I called for reservations I would have to ask for Will. When I made a change to the reservation after getting home I spoke with a young woman who confirmed that XXXX was Will and then said she didn't use her real name either. I don't know if it is for security or so that they do not have two CM's with the same name so they can keep track of who handled what reservation if questions come up.

Wow, I didn't know they didn't use their real names! No wonder they all have the coolest names.

Thanks for the info. So, now if I talk to GiGi, or Kitty, or whoever I'll know it's a wink-wink kinda name! :lmao:

No matter, "GiGi" was still the nicest person!

I have several CMs in the family, and although none of them work for CRO, one of them did do some data-gathering at the CRO location in Tampa a few years back. Indeed, for security reasons the CRO CMs do not use their real names. They are allowed to select their onstage name, and most of them select Disney names, which is why you will encounter "Ariel" and "Belle" and "Donald" and "Daisy" when you call! :thumbsup2

We just got back from the Podcast Cruise and we got to sit with a young man from the Disney Institute during dinner and he said when he started at Disney in reservations, there was already a "Mark" so he had to choose another name. They gave him a list of names that were available, so for the first few years he was there he was "Corey."
