Wonderful and amazing time at AKL Conceirge!!!

Let me just say that we loved this resort sooo much that my Mom and I booked a one night mini trip for December 16th!!! My sister and I just got back yesterday!!! We live about 2 hours away from Orlando.

Our room location was just absolutely fantastic!! Overlooking the Arusha Savannah on the Zebra Trail I believe the animals were gone from the Savannah most of the day on my birthday but they came back out right before we left for the Wanyamma Safari. They were gone from around 9 AM on our check out day as well. So yes, I would say we were affected by the construction a bit but we saw soooooooo many animals the first two days of our stay I wasn't disappointed in the least. The first day about 3:30 or 4:00 almost immediately after we checked in, we saw a Giraffe being fed leaves right out of the truck!! We had Zerba, Cattle, three Giraffes, those Gray animals that I think are Wildabests lol, just about every animal go by our room it was just absolutely spectacular!!!

The second night after we got done watching the fireworks at California Grill which were absolutely FANTASTICLY AMAZING, we had a little Noah's Ark view of the animals. There was one Giraffe and four Zebra all together eating and it just looked like they were sooo friendly. Just adorable. Another thing, I'm not sure if this was a different or the same day. But a Zebra and Wildbest were playfully chasing each other, sooo cute.

Then, on my birthday when there weren't too many animals around for the time being. We went downstairs and went to the other side of the hotel and watched two giraffes eating right in front of us!! Just wow!!!

The Sunrise and Wanyamma Safaris were just absolutely amazing!! The nighttime safari was by far the best in my opinion though! Never dreamed I would ever get so close to these animals in my life! It was my birthday and my Mom and sister ordered me a birthday cake at Jiko which was fantastic! Still saving and eating it!

I never thought a hotel would be worth as much money as we payed but I can honestly say it was worth every penny!!!! Pictures should be coming soon!!

Parks didn't go very well for us except for AK so that's why we are going back in Dec. Still have one day on my pass that is good for 6 months.

Oh....how much is the safari sunrise per person....and what do you get?

Glad to hear you had such a wonderful trip! How nice that you have another one planned so soon, you have something to look forward to.

I have a question about construction, Do you know if they are working on the weekends? I was hoping that they would be taking off and we would not be affected by any work going on.

Regarding the Sunrise Safari - do you remember about what time you were finished with the breakfast and free to head into the parks? I've heard that Expedition Everest develops long lines very quickly after opening, I want to try to avoid that.
