Wonder??

Our copier tech where I work said one of his company's employees was stuck on the Wonder because of a bomb scare. This was at 11:30 so I guess no passengers were on, but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything.

Its all under control - false alarm but better safe than sorry.

Actually, it probably was a bomb scare. The dogs who sniff before things go on the ship are explosive dogs. THose that sniff when you get back are drug dogs.

Right after 9/11, there were dogs sniffing by the scanner machines as you boarded, and signs instructing parents to take their children's hands and not to mess with, pet, or whatever the dogs. I made a comment to the handler about the only drugs here being my prescription meds. He replied that the dogs were sniffing for explosives, not drugs...then said that no one would try to take illicit drugs out of the US, but that they might try to harm US citizens. Telling comments!!! I shut my mouth quickly and pondered the wisdom of my decision to sail.

I'm really glad that DCL and the Coast GUard has taken these precautions. On at least one other occasion, the dogs found drugs being smuggled into Port Canaveral.
