Wonder, Waves and Wishes. 18th October 2009. Remembering the waves!

We bought some pirate bandanas for the kids and we shall see if we can find anything cheap while we are out there.

Seeing as I have had to buy smart "cruise clothes" I'm going to wear them and make the most of looking presentable.

Our FE gifts are sorted and the door magnets are printed. All the online forms are printed. Just the waiting to do now.

We just got our package! I think I'm gonna cry - this is so exciting!!

Now, back to working on DD's pirate costume...

For those of you who haven't received their documents yet, here is one fantastic piece of information that made my DD squeal with delight:

During the entire month of October we'll be celebrating Halloween on every voyage. There will be several themed events, including traditional trick-or-treating and a special costume parade for children.

Though not required, we encourage Guests aof all ages to bring along their costumes for these special events. There will even be a costume contest for our adult guests on one evening with prizes awarded based on the following categories:
  • funniest
  • best group
  • most spooky
  • most original
  • most Disney

Now, if that doesn't sound like fun, I don't know what is!

I did not get a chance to read through everything last night.

Since this is our first cruise, is everyone going by the suggested tipping amounts or do you just go with how you feel your service was?

We on our last cruise we tipped the suggested amounts and then added a little more for our room steward who was exceptional!

First of all, HI Rob and Kelly.

We all got out documents today

We are not going to dress in costume more than wearing a shirt with a pirate theme. I hope they still let Z trick or treat.

Got ours today also-came a day early yae!!! Looks like we will get to wear our MNSSHP costumes on the ship too! (Kids were so excited about the Halloween part!)

Good Evening Cruisers! :wizard:
No Doc's here yet... No worries, we just booked last week so I'm sure we'll be last for docs!

! Interesting news about the trick or treating and costume contests! Was not going full out with pirate costumes this cruise....but..... now I will rethink that decision!! Always fun to dress like a pirate.. but even MORE fun to dress for halloween!

It is just soooooo exciting that we are the very first ones on board after the Wonder comes out of it's "dry dock" status. We get to break everything in right - aweeee yeahhhhh!!!!! I do wonder what all will be new though. I mean I read about some of the stuff being upgraded but I am sure that there is much more. I guess we will all see soon enough.

According to UPS, our cruise docs should be there when I get home from work today!

We had bought a Pirate costume for DS, but my daugher who is going through her "I think I am a teenager even though I am only 8 years old" phase, did not want one. She did agree to a pirate hat, a skull and cross bones T-shirt and a black mini skirt.

We are not doing MNSSHP this year, but we did buy her a costume already for Halloween. She wanted to be a "fancy" witch....meaning a witch costume Selena Gomez would wear if Selena Gomez had to wear a witch outfit. I will have to ask her whether or not she wants me to pack that for her.

Rob - re: drydock....We heard that they are doing the usual maintenance stuff, but also upgrading the t.v.'s in the rooms to flat screens and upgrading the in room safes. They are also building a staircase inside Cove Cafe to go to the Outlook Bar and enclosing the Outlook with glass to get it ready for it's 2011 Alaska itineraries.

Completed & printed our online cruise documents, called & paid off my room-only reservation, & worked on FE gifts today! YAY!!!

Very cool about the Halloween stuff this year. We cruised on the Magic last year around the same time and there was nothing going on for Halloween.

Got our docs today. I wish the Halloween gift baskets were Disney themed.

Hey all - I was BUSY today. Make a FE gift map - it has all of the deck plans, listed out the rooms participating in the FE to make distributing your gifts easier. :) If you want a full-size 8.5x11 copy, please EMAIL me at:

matthewsmom@cox.net

Here's a small version of color and B&W for you to see....

Got DD's pirate costume last night. I need to add a few things to make it look better, but she is very excited!

I've sent the maps out to those that have emailed me so far. :) I go back to work tonight, so I'll just be responding early in the morning to emails for the next 3 days. Thanks!!!

I'm getting SO excited!!

Got my docs on Tuesday and wasn't able to get to them until today. I am so ready to go now!! I wasn't going to dress up, just got a few pirate accessories to wear, but now that they are having a costume contest, I may have to rethink that. This weekend I am going to do a packing dry run to see if I have enough room left in my suitcase for a costume....:yay:

If everyone has gotten their travel documents, can we get room assignments for those whom were unknown on the previous list. We are working to have all of FE gifts labeled and ready for the cruise.:tink::tink: Can't wait much longer everyone is so excited, they want to start packing already.

I think all the GTY rooms have been posted. I have:

Angela & Matthew- 2646
Jan, John, Travis, Charlotte- 6062
William, Amber, Kylie, Kobi- 5518
Virginia, Dean, Rachelle, Dee- 7580

Those were the ones on the list as "unknown".

Where is the master FE list located? I've been trying to find it, but with no luck. It's taking forever to load each page that it will take all night to go through the thread just to find it.
