Wonder Update

Hi, I am on the wonder and we are due into the port around 4 p.m. this is not official since the port is not opened as of yet. The officials (gov) are at the port now assessing the port itself. The disney building at the port has been checked out and is in good shape. They said that there are workers there preparing for our arrival. They think we will be able to depart the ship between 5-7 ish. Disney is providing transportation to the airports or disney hotels for everyone. If the guests flights are for tomarrow they are providing rooms for tonight and then transportation to the airport tomarrow. Disney is doing a very good job keeping us in the loop and taking care of the details. I booked my flights etc. myself and needed to rebook my flights home myself as well. For the guests that book with Disney Travel, Disney took care of the details for the guests. It was a bit of a hassle for me to do it....3 hours of waiting in lines and then phone. etc. I have no complaints, I just wanted to let you all know what is going on. Kathy

They just announced that the Port will not open until Thursday. There is some type of damage that will block the ships enterance. We are going to Port Everglades down the coast. We are on the ship for another night because we can not clear US Customs tonight. They will bus us to the Orlando area tonight.

Thanks so much for posting! We are to board the Wonder on Thursday and I'm not sure where we should go. I'm looking for a hotel room for Wednesday night anyway, I just called the Radisson (where we had reservations) and they will not open unitl Saturday.


I hope your return hope is without problems.

My daughter was on the Wonder and they were disembarking around 8 this morning. Still don't have a flight out of Florida to Maryland though so it looks like they will be put up in a hotel by Disney overnight.

I am glad Disney is being so helpful. But I hope she gets back soon, she is missing college classes! I called work for her and they were understanding, but college professors tend not to be.
