Wonder - Sept 27, 2015 - Oct 1, 2015: Vancouver to San Diego

Hello there! First time DCL cruiser here! Me, hubby, 4 and a half year old DD, and 2 year old son will be going. Then we will spend a couple of days in Disneyland after the cruise. Anyone else have the same itinerary and have kids the same age?

Hello!
We have a son who is turning 4 mid-September. We will also be at the parks starting Oct. 4.

Hello, we are so excited to be going on our first cruise! Does anyone have any idea what the weather is going to be like?

Hi Alyleth! We will miss you by one day at the parks! We plan to be in California Adventure, Friday the 2nd and Disneyland on Saturday the 3rd!

Hi runjanerun! My son just turned 2 in July! He's not potty trained yet, so I think we'll be in the baby swimming pool most of the time unfortunately. Are you lucky enough to go to the big pools instead?!?

Good morning everyone! 25 days for our cruise!! YAY!! does anyone have any idea what the weather will be like? I know I can check on the weather channel, but I guess what i'm really asking is "what is everyone packing'?

I assume it can be cool at night at least in the Pacific Northwest, so we will at least bring pants and a light jacket. Since we're going to DL afterwards, it will be mostly shorts and tshirts for us.

Single dad with two kids. Sept 27th Vancouver to San Diego. This is my first cruise so I'm soo stoked!

Well after having one of the hottest summers on record here in Vancouver the weather has now changed and it's very much like Fall. Hopefully it will still be sunny the day we sail away but I would pack some rain coats just in case! On board I suspect it will be quite chilly until we get further down the coast. Just crossing my fingers for calm seas :P

I was looking at the long term weather report. It shows thunder storms on the day we depart. This will be our 4th Disney Cruise and on all of them the fare well deck parties are so much fun. I was just wondering are the thunder storms bad there? I hope they don't cancel the party8-)

I wouldn't pay any attention to that forecast. We rarely get thunderstorms in the Vancouver area. We've had the hottest summer I can ever remember and we didn't have one thunderstorm.
I'd say the chances of a thunderstorm that afternoon are probably less than 1%. However, the chance of actual rain (no thunder or lightening), well unfortunately yes there is a large chance that day will have rain. So it could be a soggy sail away party. But the forecast around here changes so much. This weekend, for example - Saturday was supposed to be the only nice day of the weekend, Sunday and Monday rain. Nope, sunshine today as well and now they've changed it to sun for tomorrow. So the saying "don't like the weather wait 5 minutes" very much applies to Vancouver!

thanks for the tip. I'm sure regardless of the weather, we are going to have a blast. I am officially on Disney mode and I don't want to work anymore! lol

A rainy day on a Disney cruise is still better than a sunny day in work.

Does anyone know if there is good wine tasting close to the port in Victoria Canada? :mic:

Hi, does anyone know if our cruise will have a formal night? and if so how formal is it?
