After all your help again, I am getting ready to call and switch my standard inside stateroom (6545) to a deck 2 oceanview room. I have done about 2 hours of research and narrowed it down to room 2516, room 2002 (a larger room?), or room 2642. The 2516 and 2002 are forward. 2002 is all the way forward port side and 2516 is starboard side. 2642 is pretty far aft on the starboard side. From everything I have read it appears the forward rooms will have less noise. However, it seems 2642 may have easier access to the drink station since you can take the elevator right up to deck 9.

-Are there other drink stations on the Wonder?

-Any thoughts on these three rooms? I am driving myself crazy! :-)

Thanks!!

Our first cruise on the Magic (same layout as Wonder) was in room 2144 (similar location to 2642, but port side). I'd take that over the rooms all the way forward.

Only drink stations are poolside, and in the buffet.

You are doing a great job with your research and I totally get it :) I think you've made great points about everything. We tend to prefer aft however we aren't settled on one particular location. In the above cabins I'd likely go with 2516 or 2002 because just as you stated, they are larger due to the curvature of the ship. As the above poster mentioned starboard side (so 2516 and 2642) will have great views of Castaway and I'm assuming you are going there but not positive. People have commented they preferred the forward cabins you referenced as they get very little foot traffic. The aft and forward elevators are definitely better to use than midship so that's a tie there.

Not sure you know but you can research reviews here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomreport.cfm?Room=2642

Don't forget the Magic and Wonder are the same essentially for the cabins.

Good luck :)

After a lot of going back and forth, I ended up booking room 2516 because that seems to have the best reviews. It is 9 staterooms from the front. I still keep wondering if I should switch to room 2644 because it seems more convenient, but that is only about 4 rooms from the very back and gets a lot of mixed reviews on engine noise. Apparently years ago passports did a "noisy" list and room 2644 was on it, but room 2516 was not. I am sure I am overthinking it and will have a great time either way. I am just excited to have a split bath to get ready in. Thanks again for all your help!

We have that exact room booked for the Panama Canal in May next year. We have previously stayed on deck one so hoping that the room is great :) We are purely after the larger porthole :)
