I have read somewhere that they were trying out new times for the dinner seatings on the Wonder. Does anyone know how that is working and then what happens to the movie time afterward? :cool1:

Mostly what I noticed was the wait staff having to quickly turn around the tables for the late service while other diners were eating. I felt bad for our waiters who were trying so hard not to let the clean up/set up ruin the atmosphere. I know turn around happens in all restaurants, but it's a little more disruptive when about 1/3 of the room leaves at once.

I think the show times stayed the same.

We were on the 4 day wonder 7/14-7/17 and we had 8:15 seating but the line was so long to get into the dining room that we didnt get in until 8:30 anyway. We were always the last ones to get served also...... It didnt bother me though. I just went with the flow.

It was reported that the entire dining room is on the same seating time. The schedule was posted a couple weeks ago. There is no way that the special events or the light show in AP would work if there were three seperate times in each dining room. The change is an effort to lighten the lines for pictures with the characters in the atrium before & after each seating.

Here is the post by mecook with the information.

Just back....the rotation is now with the 2nd and 3rd nights in the same place.

I was APPT, so we had Parrot on Monday and again on Tuesday for the Pirate night. It was SO great to be in the tropical atmosphere for Pirate night. The servers were all dressed up; we did a conga line and limbo.

We had first seating and we dined at 6 every night. Some people dined at 5:45 and others at 6:15. The late seating was 8, 8:15, or 8:30.
You don't change times; it just spread folks out so the lines didn't get long.

From what I can tell from my Navigators, here's the breakdown as of 6/26.
5:45 was TAAP
6:00 was APPT (this was me)
6:15 was PTTA

8:00 was TAAP
8:15 was APPT
8:30 was PTTA

Thanks for all the information we have 3 weeks before we leave. We were waitlisted for the first seating which I hope we get because we have small children and they might be sleeping if we end up stuck with the second seating.
