I'm working on a series of trip reports on my blog--most of the readers have never been on a Disney cruise so some of the information is kind of general but if you want to follow along, my trip report is:

Part One

and

Part Two

I'll post the others when I finish them. We had a great time!

I really like your report. If I may can I make one correction. The Wonder was the second ship in the DCL fleet, Her sister ship, The Magic, is a year older. Looks like you had a great time.

I was on the same cruise and as a crusty old curmudgeon who has a short tolerance of children, I have to say I had a great time. Jimmy, the Assistant Cruise Director told me there were 900 children on board. :scared1: I'd sure like to know where they all were because I didn't see them. There were some in the Micky Pool and lots at the character interactions, but for the most part they were very unobtrusive and the ones I did see were very well behaved.

Al in all, a very positive experience for my first cruise (in a ship that wasn't painted haze gray...)

Wow, 900! I wouldn't have guess that either! They do such a great job keeping kids entertained with a ton of programming choices, I never saw kids wandering around looking bored at all.

Was your son playing with a helicopter while waiting for the excursion in Wave Bands?

Because if the answer is yes, he was very suspicious of my Mother and I stealing it. :rotfl:
