The picture by the window has a chair with the hidden twin bed in the wall. That is the Family deluxe ocean view stateroom that is Category 8 B-D ( I believe) that you can only find on Dresm and Fantasy. We stayed in one on Fantasy in 2013.I wondered about the Deck 2 mid ship portholes if they have seating areas.... I noticed there are three oceanview porthole choices.
Please don't try sitting in the "magic porthole".
- Deck 1.... you get the "twins"
- Deck 2 forward and aft get the large portholes
- Deck 2 mid ship.... even larger portholes.
not sure if this picture is from the Wonder Deck 2 mid ship.... can someone confirm?

No, the only portholes you can sit in are in the Route 66 area. The rooms with large portholes have a little ledge (about 4" wide) below them. OK for sort of leaning on, not sitting.

I confirm what the previous poster has said.

By "larger" do you mean the ones with the cushion to use for sitting? As previously noted, those are only available in some staterooms on the Dream and Fantasy. Sorry if this is not to what you are referring.
I know the hall size with the cushions are huge and I'm not thinking that is even an option for the rooms. But what about the photos I see above? My my next room is 2008 my last room was 2024. I asked if I could upgrade to a larger window. But I was told twice recently they are all the same. Also when I reserved the room I was told there are only 2 window sizes. The one I have and the one I declined with 2 small port Windows on deck 1.
Yes the bottom is what I had last time and have again this time. But I really wanted the one above it. But the bigger window are an upgrade although still on deck 2. I just can't see all 4 of us with our heads pushed upto the glass trying to see the bears because it's wet and cold.Deck 2 on the Wonder and Magic does have 2 slightly different sized windows, but I don't think there is much difference. I believe there are 21 of the somewhat smaller ones if you count from the front of the ship, and they change where the cabin category changes between 2040 & 2042 and also 2540 & 2542. So, 2008 and 2024 will have the same somewhat smaller size, but still much larger than the 2 small porthole windows on deck 1.
I took this picture of the Wonder that should show the difference from the outside.

Searched a bit and found this one showing the larger window:

And this one showing a smaller one where you can see there's a bit more wall space at the top and bottom:

I agree, and suggest https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/Disney-Wonder for deck plans.@Snowwhyt I suggest you pull up a deckplan online and reference that when you call. Ask about specific staterooms by number, based on the information mareed has posted. It doesn't appear that there are a lot of these "slightly larger" porthole rooms on deck 2 of the Wonder, so it's possible those are already booked. But worth a try asking for specific staterooms rather than asking the CM to know window size.
Good luck and enjoy your cruise!
Yes, the bigger window will be an upgrade. What you want is category 9B with the larger windows in the middle of the ship, and what you've had is 9C towards the front. There are over 60 of these cabins.Yes the bottom is what I had last time and have again this time. But I really wanted the one above it. But the bigger window are an upgrade although still on deck 2. Just wanted to add with 2008 you are getting more room in the cabin as the far forward cabins have more space due to the curvature of the ship. You might want to google some of the cabins (and check port and starboard) and you can see where the extra space is located. Some have more space beside the queen bed and the sofa bed (as much as an extra foot) and some have more space between the sofa bed and the window - enough to store luggage. I can't vouch for all of them as they do vary depending on the location. To me, that's a better trade off than a window that's slightly larger with a 9B, but that's just my opinionI know the hall size with the cushions are huge and I'm not thinking that is even an option for the rooms. See that's just it, I called on the third day The Alaska itinerary had been posted about 14 months ago. They explained the port windows on the first deck are smaller but you got 2. All the rest of the port windows were the same size. The last person back in January, 7 months before my cruise told me that all of those windows are the same size except the ones in the lower-class levels had deeper windows to accommodate the curve of the ship. I mentioned pictures of bigger windows and they told me that I was looking at dream and fantasy pictures. I said I saw those also, but I was looking at photos back before the dream in the fantasy were born. I also explained that I was not thinking of the windows of route 66.@Snowwhyt I suggest you pull up a deckplan online and reference that when you call. Hi Stargazer24!Thank you!
Your comments are intriguing. So even if I do get the smallest window I'm going to see the upside of having the extra space. Kinda sounds like we might have a better time seeing wildlife through those windows. I do like that area of the ship it's right off the elevator, and just under the theater that doesn't have any activity after the second show. And mom and dad shouldn't get lost because it's the exact same area we had our last room.Just wanted to add with 2008 you are getting more room in the cabin as the far forward cabins have more space due to the curvature of the ship. I've definitely read that the front 3 cabins on each side (00, 02, 04) are larger, but didn't think that extended to any further back. Maybe someone else will be able to confirm. I'll be in 2502 on my next cruise and have booked 2004 after that, so I'm looking forward to the extra space in those, and am really hoping that we don't have the noise issue we did in another area on deck 2 where we heard them vacuuming/banging above us every single night around 3:00 - 5:00 am!
Indeed I have seen posts and pictures of 2512 or 2510 (would be the same) and as I remember, they had more space between the sofa and the window and stored their suitcases there (this was before the Wonder got the upgraded beds). I've read the first three - 2500-2504 have the most space and then it gradually decreases as you get to 2516. The same would be true for the port side cabins.I've definitely read that the front 3 cabins on each side (00, 02, 04) are larger, but didn't think that extended to any further back. I'm in that room (2050) on our upcoming cruise to Alaska. You posted the review after I chose the room and it was too late to change it.I'm hoping they've stopped with the crazy vacuuming. How hard is it to vacuum AROUND objects? Cross your fingers we can sleep!
