Wonder May 17, 2015 3 Night Mexican Riviera

Have any of you booked a category 4 (family stateroom with verandah)? Considering a change from the 5c only if I can do the same stateroom for the B2B (2 & 3 night). Trying to find reviews, specifically about noise. Want to stay aft or midship. Worried about noise above Beach Blanket Buffet and near the pool. (Chairs/tables being moved across floor) Don't want to book with a whitewall. Is the additional $335 for the B2B worth it for an additional 36 more square feet? TIA!

I like that the Promenade Lounge is so large. I also like the idea of meeting on deck where the kids can he preoccupied. Can't remember...that's by Goofy's Galley starboard side? Maybe over time people can make suggestions about meeting places. Then Evasue can make the ultimate decision and let us know. Either location sounds good to me. ;)

Yes I believe you are correct goofy's galley.

My only question would be how do we tell the DISers from the many throngs of people at the pool, and is there adequate seating that is not too spread out? I know when we have me at the Promenade, the DIS group folks were practically the only ones there.

I remember reading a post about being able to hear noise from a stateroom under the pool, but I don't remember which pool. I'm not sure about being under BBB, but I'm sure if it really was a problem there would be a lot of reviews about it. Best bet is to keep checking those reviews. If it's a veranda though I don't think they are located directly under the pools, right? Sorry wish I could be more help.

Our last two cruises we were right underneath the buffet, whatever you call ir on the Magic or Wonder. The Wonder we were on the 8th floor and never heard a thing, and we spent one of days in the room watching movies and stuff. The 6 nights we sent on deck 6 on the Magic prior to rehab, we didnt hear anything from the above decks. We also had a whitewall verandah which was just fine for us.

I am sure we'll come up with a great spot for a meet! I think that once we get closer to cruise time and more of us are here to provide input, then we can poll for a location. Same thing with cruise name, t-shirt designs, and FE groupings. If theres a general consensus, great, if not, I'm all for democracy, haha. ;)

I was JUST gonna mention the shirt aspect! Like Eva said, as we get closer, we can decide on shirts. Between my family, Eva's family and other families wearing our cruise shirts, there should be no problem locating this group no matter where we meet! ddc4d

Does this mean we would wear matching shirts that looked the same so we could find each other?

Some lunatics (like myself) ;) get so excited about the cruise that they come up with a name and logo for the cruise and then put it on a shirt to wear on the first day of sailing. It's a great way to identify other DISers and to just get into the spirit!

Ha, ha, ha!!!

Could you add us to the group -- 9 of us sailing - Myself (Stef), DH, DS (will be 11), and DD (will be 7) at the time of this cruise. This will be our 6th Disney Cruise, 5th on the Wonder, and 4th cruise for the kids. In-laws are going, uncle and cousin, and a best friend.

We're from LA area so we'll just drive down the morning of the cruise. Not concentrating too much on this trip yet, because the same 9 of us are going to Alaska in June --- now that is one of my dream trips and I'm so excited!!! :cheer2:

Sorry, accidentally pushed send by mistake....
Ha, ha, ha!!! Last cruise I went ALL out! Ordered on Etsy two large custom magnets for cabin door, made more multiple individual magnets for door, ordered TWO sets of custom shirts on Etsy (matching Ariel shirts for DD and I for when we did Princess Gathering to meet Ariel and second set for when we boarded...Star Wars DCL shirts Donald Duck as Darth Maul for DH & DS & Minnie Mouse as Princess Leia for me & DD), & FE exchange.

I'm already planning mentally about FE exchange, custom shirts, too! Want to order more door magnets!

Welcome! We have a great active fun group! We live in Harbor City next to Torrance (south bay). Where r u from? My DD will be 7 1/2 at time of sailing & would love another girl to hang out with! Which cabin number? We are deck 6 starboard 6610.

We're from the Whittier area (where the 605 and 5 freeways meet). We're mid-deck - either Deck 6 or 7 (I don't remember). My DD will actually be a few weeks shy of 8 when we go on this cruise, but I'm sure she would love to meet someone her age.

Just booked this one as well as the 2 day cruise before it. Decided since my DD was going to be graduating next year and turning 18 we owed it to her to bring her to Palo :)

We are from Whittier as well but more towards the border of La Mirada.
