Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

We're flying out on Sunday the 30th. I'll be at WDW from Thurs the 27th to the 30th. I'll be doing MNSSHP on of those evenings.

We were on the Magic but my employeer made some changes this year and all of our plans fell apart. Cost me a ton of money but I moved our Vacation to a better time.

We'll be doing it on Friday night. We went for the first time last year and loved it. Can't wait to do it again. What hotel are you staying at? We will be at Pop.

That's probably the night we'll be there. I'd rather do it Thursday (because that night I think will be lighter than Friday) but I'm guessing they'll not be doing Thursday night.

Last year was our first too. LOVED IT! The Headless Horseman was the best! I hear they're thinking about bringing him to DLR.

I've not made any reservations yet. Looking for a deal. I like POR. But if the right deal came about, I'd switch to a Deluxe (wife would have my hide) We still have the Sept reservations for WDW. I need to cancel those.

Oh jeez....every time my dog barked today, I thought it was Mr. UPS Man with my docs! I keep opening my front door looking to see if there's anything there.

The planning and expecting is part of the DRAG OUT FUN of cruising! Because once it's over, it's sad!

OK... I'm only going a week back to do one posting covering all...

I am stunned that I was able to pick up an inside cabin on Thursday of last week! Can't believe my good fortune.

My DH and I can't wait to get back on the Wonder...especially without kids this time! We are bringing a friend of ours who we have completely converted into a Disney Lover.

Told both of them to sleep now, because we aren't wasting a minute onboard sleeping! Okay...maybe we'll sleep a little. We're kinda old and need our rest...

Any word of what shows will be performed and/or how the dining rotation will work?

We've gone back and forth about cancelling but I thought it would be too late. Of course we found a CM rate for 7 nights that was just $400 more than we paid for this. This is OK, though, since it doesn't interfere with the kids and school. As it is, I'm dealing with a 14 year old whining about missing 1 day, imagine 5

We noted something similar... in that we could have gotten a 7 niter for just a little bit more - so we decided to stay with this quick trip as it would not take any school days from the kids and - mostly - because we had somehow managed to get over a dozen families to join our group! Well - we're not exactly a formal "group" - but kind of a mob consisting of old friends!

So for those of you who've received your docs, is there any new info to share?

We got our docs sometime last week too .... however, I have not personally looked at them? Otherwise - has ANYONE noted anything diffferent about them?

I've received notification that our wristband order has shipped! Things are moving along quite nicely. Thanks to those of you who have sent payment/envelopes. I'll get an updated list up soon.

I did get extras so if you did not pre-order, i can probably accomodate you. Just let me know!

I'm sooo excited. I just booked this January 21 cruise, therefore adding this cruise put's me on back to back Disney cruises because I'm on the January 23 Mexican Rivera cruise. Yeah baby!

With all these folks being able to grab cabins I thought I'd check and see what's available. Right now, for 2 adults, there is an 11C (at twice the cost of my 9C), 4A and OOT.

I got our docs (outside of Sacramento) on Monday. We usually get items a few days late, so I was surprised to get them early.

Nothing exciting in them, but nice to have.

I just want my luggage tags. Doesn't sound like they sent out any kind of schedule with the docs so the tags are the only thing important. To me at least.

Our docs arrived today via USPS! At first I thought it was docs for both the 2-night and our MR honeymoon on the 30th, but it was two sets for one trip. Me and my husband's tags/itinerary were in one and my 20 month old daughter's tags/itinerary in the other. Do they always send each kid their own packet? I doubled checked that all our reservation info and room numbers were the same. Just seemed a bit odd, especially since she's under three.

I've heard about a ship tour. I looked online to prebook it but I don't see anything. Has anyone else done this? Where do I sign up for it? I'd like to try to take a tour if I can.

Usually if they have it - you sign up on board at the excursion desk or there about.

No docs here in Northern CA but we used a TA, so not sure if they go to the TA first...

Okay should we tentatively plan a meetup for the Goofy Pool? Maybe like 3 or 3:30? Enough time to get a photo and then get ready for the muster drill? Is it at 4 or 4:30?

Its hit or miss, sometimes they go to the TA sometimes they come to you. I think your TA can specify where to send them.

I'm in northern CA, I do have a TA, but I got our docs Thurs or Fri last week directly from Disney.

I am glad you got them..I requested they come directly to you but I am never sure if they actually send them direct or not.
