Hello again -

In my cabin we have 2 kids along ... Julianna at age 9 ... and Kalea at age 7.

In addition I have 13 more cabins in my group - and I will pause to consider before listing the kids in the larger group by name and age... as thier parents should be consulted and.... really, they should post for thier kids if they so elect.

And now - I will begin looking back to see what I've missed in recent days or weeks...

called a few weeks ago to add a couple of children to a room and told that they were at capacity, called back thinking that maybe it was just children that was maxed and then tried to add two older children that are teens and count more as adults than children and was again told ship at capacity, the only way to add is if people drop.

You can always call to ask, things can change by the hour some time. It never hurts to call. Good luck!

I believe there are ALWAYS a few families who will drop when the time comes to make final payment. And ... is that at 75 days prior to sailing? If so, then that is roughly the 1st week of November? It might take a few days AFTER this deadline passes before DCL actually drops folks who fail to make final payment AND fail to respond to requests for final payment. So - it might make sense to enquire of any potential waiting list for getting a cabin on our sailing. If you have a TA who is a DCL specialist then they probably have folks on the inside who can set your friends up on the list. If your TA is not a DCL specialist - you may or may NOT identify the list and get on it. I have little faith in TAs who are NOT specialists with DCL... I've seen mistakes and simple unawreness regarding DCL with regular TAs.... but expertese with TAs who are specialists!​

I'm for the first time ever going to fly down to LA this Nov. We always drive. But thought that it may be fun to fly. it was fairly costly though. Again, not sure I'll do it again. I've got to really feel like I got my money's worth out of it.

Gonna fly eh?

You just watch out for the "Jaws" shark from Universal Studios down here...
Some folks say Universal does NOT feed him enough....

I am getting both excited & nervous. i'm worried that, unlike my first cruise, the ship is going to feel so crowded because no one is getting off the boat the whole time!

Fear not - even with a full ship the "crowds" are NOT intolerable! Most DCL sailings are full or nearly at full capacity .... and it's a pleasure to sail every time without any concerns over crowding.

As of now they only have 10:30 booking. They don't give all the brunch reservation away. They hold some back for silvers and newbies. That way they can have a chance at a reservation.

Hi Litle Pixie Dust -- I'm new so can't PM or email yet -- would you please add me to the roll call, myself and my mom, first-timers on DCL, and mom's first cruise (My sixth) - no little ones. I'm trying my mom out on a cruise to see how she'll do, for maybe a longer one later. GTY status, and I think FE's are a gas, will definitely do one!

Page 3 No way

Having a bit of bad luck, like everyone else is these days.

Days before my DS20 went back to college he totalled my completely loved PAID IN FULL suburban. No one injured thank the Lord.

Have no car until we get the insurance check.....over a month - during summer - DD and I spend lots of time walking to the pool

We buy our new car and the second day, Labor Day, I get this great idea to drive it to San Jose (from Orange County) to visit my son in college and see his new apartment. Hubby has a court appearance there on Tuesday - so cancel his flight and take DD12 up with us to visit son.

Labor Day, Monday, after driving up there I'm cooking dinner for my son and his roommates who want a home made dinner. Send DH out to the store.
Hmmm, he's gone too long and somethings wrong. DH turned in front of a metro train - onto the tracks - dragging him 50 yds or more. He climbs out of the passenger side. Thank the Lord he only had broken ribs and a concussion. He was only worried that he totalled my brand new car on Day2.

We were truly blessed...until we learned we only had liability! But good, because apparently we have to pay for the damage to the train!!!!

Come home, 3 days later my son at college gets his new bike stolen jeez.

So now I'm waiting for another car more importantly, I have my husband. My wonderful brother who is also an attorney drove up the next morning to help my hubby at his court appearance because he was still in shock! He couldn't function. Then my brother drove us home and loaned me a spare car until I get another one

I need some pictures..... THANK GOODNESS this cruise is paid for and I don't have to drive anywhere

P.S. I'm thinking about getting the same car...it saved my hubby's life

Wow - is all I can think!!! Imagine what the ODDS must be for anything more EVER happening to you or your husband with any car!??? I am glad the injuries were limited to what you described. As you should be able to recover from anything else - eh?
