Wonder in Alaska!!! May 27, 2013

Hi guys - we just switched to this cruise from the Sept. 2nd sailing date, so DH (Greg, 30), myself (Meg, 29) and our son Ben (14months) will be joining everyone! We're very excited - this will be our 2nd cruise - our first was the LA to Vancouver Repo in 2011 when I was pregnant with Ben (made it right under the cut off for pregnant women - literally, I had only a few days left). We'd definitely love to join the FE this time - last time we didn't participate, but this time I feel up to it ;) Very excited to meet you all!

We were on that cruise with you!! Looking forward to seeing you again, and we will be joining in the FE too!! Glad that you could come on this cruise too, Karen and Ron:thumbsup2

Happy Saturday! :)

So far I have 4 families signed up for the FE.. if you get a chance will you send me your email addresses through a PM.

8 days to go til our first trip to Disneyland!! :cool1:

Just booked the Wonder for April 2014 in the Walt Disney Suite!

Still going on this one, of course, just wanted to pass on the happy news!

:woohoo: We are so excited for you!! What a wonderful:: treat!! Are you maybe celebrating something special? ALOHA, Karen and Ron:grouphug:

Thanks!
Actually, we're not celebrating anything.
I was looking at Fantasy pricing, and by the time I started to consider those numbers, I decided to check the Wonder and and floored by how cheap those rooms were, so I jumped on the Royal Suite immediately.

Then I realized how cheap a regular room was on that same cruise, but I decided to just stick with the Royal Suite at the price we got it for. It's a great price, we love the Wonder, and since a friend is coming with us and sharing the cost of the room, it is the only time we could ever afford such a luxury, so we're just going to do it!

That is great news. I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

How exciting! We have never stayed concierge, but I know we would love it. I look forward to hearing all about it!

We haven't been on the Wonder since our first cruise in 2003. However, Dh and Dd are going on the Wonder out of Miami on January 5. I look forward to hearing what they think after having spent our last four cruises on the new ships.

Anyone whose been on a crowded cruise before, when do you recommend arriving to the show? I've heard that the seats can fill up so it's recommended to go early, but what's early? We're second seating so we'll be going to the 6pm show (presuming I understand the set up correctly).

Thanks,

Marise

I think they open the theatre 30-45 minutes early.
We like to show up then or shortly thereafter.

30 minutes before is normally good. If you want really good seats, then go earlier.... and since you have a group of 6, seats could be a little harder to find all together.

We dont go to all the shows anymore, but we have seen them all and they are worth going to for the first time!! :)

Hey everyone! My name is Matt, and I am newbie in this thread.

I woke up this morning and unwrapped a Christmas gift notifying me that I will be sailing with you all on this wonderful cruise! I have sailed on the Disney Cruise Line a few times before (I'm a Gold Castaway Club member), but never anywhere north of Los Angeles. I am VERY excited to be doing this, as going on an Alaskan cruise was on my bucket list. I think my sister already signed us up for the FE List, so she is ahead of the game there. I just really wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to getting to know you all before our sail date approaches!

Oh, and since I have a good number of posts to catch up on, sorry if I bring up anything that has long since been finalized. I will read everything first and try to keep my questions/comments to a minimum! Happy Holidays everyone!!! :)

Well that didn't take too long. I'm all caught up on all 17 pages. Thanks to your posts, I have a lot of great ideas for gifts for the castmembers, as well as a few tips on what excursions to look into. Thanks for the insight everyone!

Corinna- When you have time, would you please add me to the Facebook page? My name is Matt and I sent a request to be added a little earlier this evening. Thanks again! :)

Welcome, Matt. Who is your sister?

I know we've had people mention a FE programme...
Do we have somebody who is officially heading that up?

Thanks Brumbie!

My sister's name is Mindy (although on here, I believe she goes by the name Genequeen19). She said she had signed up, although maybe I was mistaken. Based on past posts, I believe Val is running it.

Welcome on board. What a lovely Christmas surprise. I can see that Adrian has added you to Facebook. I am not only in a different time zone, but I also had to work all over Christmas so have not really been online.

Hi Corinna!

Sorry that you had to work over Christmas, however just think of it as extra money you will get to spend on the cruise :thumbsup2

I see that you are sailing on a back to back...you have to be so excited about that! That would be amazing!
