Booked this cruise yesterday, along with the repo up to Vancouver. We did AK this past summer and loved it, can't wait to go back.

Heading out on the Dream on Sunday, can't wait for that one either.

Just back from the Hawaiian and thinking of booking Alaska, either this or the one in June????

Hi everyone,

I'm making a thread for those of us who signed up for the Wonder sailing to Alaska for May, 27, 2013.

I know it's a long time off, but today was the first day the public was able to sign up for the cruise, and I signed up, so here we are!

If you're on this sailing, pop in and say hi. We can use this thread to organize a meet on the first day and fish extenders, if the group is interested in it.

Popping by to say "hi" and ask for a suggestion...I am a female solo traveler...that's fine w/me but wondered if there were a way to find a roommate to share a cabin with...what can you suggest? Also, I don't FB but would love to be added to the Dis-ers meeting list!!! Thanks much

Contacted DVC today and we are now booked. I think I am in shock about booking another WONDER ful cruise so soon.......

Sorry, I don't have much advice for the solo traveler question. My best advice is to ask a really good female friend of yours if she wants to go and bunk together.

As for the people who aren't on Facebook, it's no problem. All of our planning will happen here in this thread. Facebook is just somewhere else to chat. It's a private page so people can talk about things like their real names and such, which they might not be comfortable doing on a public forum like this one, but other than that, it's not critical that anyone be a member of the Facebook group to participate. All of our big decisions (meet-ups, FE's, etc.) will be discussed and decided here on the forum.

My main concern for this cruise is HOW WILL WE GET TO THE PORT?

I have no clue on transportation, flights etc.

Has anyone else that is not doing a B2B thought of this?

Nope we haven't cruised together.

Last year we flew into Seattle, spent the night, and then took Amtrak to Vancouver. We then took a taxi to our hotel where we spent 2 nights and then took a taxi to the port from there. After the cruise we took a taxi directly to the airport. The taxi from the train station to our hotel was around $15C, then to the port it was around $10C and to the airport was around $35C.
We were going to fly directly into Vancouver, by the time DH's vacation was approved the flights to Vancouver had gone up considerably and it was to our advantage to fly into Seattle. When I was originally looking at flights they were about the same price flying into Seattle or Vancouver.

We are going to fly into Bellingham WA, take the Amtrak to Vancouver, and stay in a hotel right near the dock.
