Oh Too bad Pixielizzie :( Oh well you will enjoy a cruise another time. Enjoy your other trip :)

Hi everyone, we will be joining you on Sept. 2nd. My mother (fairygodmother) myself and my partner Chris. We are flying in to Seattle on the 31st and driving to Vancouver and staying at the Pan Pacific on the 1st. Hopefully we will get to do a little site seeing.
I have booked a whale watching tour with Harv and Marv in Juneau. :yay:. But we have not decided what else we want to do yet. Must get that done soon since we can start booking our excursions in a few weeks.
Not sure if we will be doing FE this time may need the luggage room since I am thinking about bringing 2 cameras and telephoto lens. :confused3. I know it is a little much but this is a once in a lifetime trip for us.

What excursions are the rest of you thinking doing?
Seems my husband and I are following your plans. We are flying into Seattle then driving to Vancouver and spending the night at the Pan Pacific also. We just booked Harv and Marv for Juneau but am unsure of other plans. I think we well do seaplane in Ketchikan but unsure of Skagway. Anyone done anything that they loved in Skagway? We have always cruised with Disney but this is our first to Alaska. Very excited about that!

Just felt like saying only 117 days until we get to enjoy the sail away party! My other count down is down to 80 days though :-)

Doing a happy dance today! Booked all the excursions and a massage. Also got to book Palo brunch and dinner! How is everyone's plans coming along for this cruise?

Since we are new DCL cruisers, we have to wait until June 19th to book Palo, excursion, etc. That's OK though because it gives me more time to plan and research! The kids are getting excited. Some of our good friends are on the Fantasy this week and my four year old is having trouble understanding why her friend, Tyler, is on "Mickey's Boat" but she isn't yet. I just keep telling her that when his trip is all over we will still have ours to look forward to!

We get to book our excursions / palo on June 4th. I'm debating on whether to do palo at all and then brunch or dinner since the rotational dining is sooooo good!

Just watching the wonder pull up in Vancouver on my ship finder app. Does any one know of webcams in any of the ports

Hello, we just booked our cruise on the Disney Wonder sailing Sept 2nd. Although we have cruised before, this will be our first Disney cruise. I (46) will be traveling with my husband (49) and my 14 year old daughter. We live in Southern California and have typically visited warm destinations so Alaska is a big change for us and we are looking forward to the adventure. We have not yet booked any excursions however, we are thinking of taking the Yukon Suspension Bridge & White Pass Railway excursion in Skagway, the Helicopter Glacier Walkabout in Juneau and my husband and daughter would like to go halibut fishing in Ketchikan. Anyone doing these excursions?

I've never done the fish exchange before, I have been reading a little about it but I can't seem to find the details. Sounds like fun. How does it really work?

Named for the decor from which they hang, fish extenders are usually handmade pocket organizers (similar to a shoe caddy or mail organizer) customized with names, favorite Disney characters, etc. These pocket organizers are hung from a decorative fish ornament that is attached to the wall outside of each cabin .

Disney fan enthusiasts frequently gather online prior to upcoming cruise vacations. We form groups and friendships long before the cruise actually sets sail. We make arrangements for all sorts of meets and activities, including private wine tastings, group port excursions, and gift exchanges. A fish extender group is basically a gift exchange, albeit with a little extra pixie dust.

Prior to the cruise, fish extender groups are formed and organized via the DIS fan site. Once numbers are finalized, each member of the group prepares a gift for the other participating cabins. There are no rules regarding gifts (no minimum or maximum dollar value). Often times, the gifts are handmade, but not always. Once the cruise has commenced, participants deliver their gifts to the other participating staterooms, leaving them as a surprise in the fish extender pockets. One of the most fun aspects of taking part in a fish extender group is checking in throughout the day to see what little goodies are waiting.

Like JonK above me, I also booked 3 port adventures and a Palo brunch!

Skagway: Mushers' camp and sled dog experience. I am a dog person and always had a dog growing up. Now, I am without a dog and miss it! Must. Hug. Puppies!

Juneau: Mendenhall Glacier and Whale quest. I would love to see some Orcas.

Ketchikan: Alaska rainforest sanctuary and crabfeast. My mom is excited about this one. Me, not so much, as I don't eat any seafood. Might have to stash a granola bar in my pocket.

Sunday Brunch at Palo's at noon. Was hoping for earlier, but now we can sleep in.

JonK-where are you located? I'm also in the SF Bay Area! ♪♪♪It's a small world after all!♪♪♪
