Cast:2 families of 4 with 3 -19 year olds,one 9 year old
This was our first cruise, and I'm delighted to say we were upgraded....we booked 4 category 11 rooms and were upgraded to 4 category 7 navigator veranda rooms, all next to each other, 5134-5140. We had 2 people per room, and I absolutely fell in love with these rooms, I don't know how we got so lucky but they were incredible. We arrived at the cape by 11:30, check in was no lines, and we had to wait like 10 minutes to board. The ship is immaculate and beautiful, we went to the beach blanket buffet which was very good (big shrimp) and then hung out by the pools which were almost empty for a long time. Our friends got on the ship about an hour after us. Signed my 9 year old up for the kids club, but she only spent 20 min. there the whole trip. It did appear well run, though. We had early dinner at Tritons, and this is where the bad part of the day begins. Can you say, seasick????I think because of the hurricane. the boat was really, seriously, rocking and vibrating. I was wondering how I would survive 3 nights of this. So we didn't really get to enjoy our waitstaff or Tritons. Took DD to bingo and I could bearly keep it together. Luckily dd was fine. Anyway, the first night was kinda a bust, but I think around midnight everything finally got calm. Maybe there was hope for this trip yet!
(sorry, I can't fix my countdown clock
