Thanks. I booked flights into Hobby yesterday. They were not too expensive but it looks like we will be staying an extra day on either end due to the times we need to be at port. Going home, the direct flight was at 11am so that was too tight to get there from the terminal. So, I'm excited about having some extra time in Galveston and we can be a little more relaxed about finding transportation to and from the airport. I will probably end up going with a car service I thing.

Oh, and on the FE discussion, we are flexible. Whatever the group decides is fine. We'll be doing B2B cruises so are coming up with a different gift for each cruise!

Extra time in Galveston could be lots of fun. There are some fun things to do there. We love Moody Gardens and some great food!

Hey everyone, just wanted to check in and say hello as I haven't been on here in awhile. Hope everyone is doing well. Glad to see that we have added new members to the FE list...very excited about that. I agree that 15 would be a decent number if splitting things up. I'd love to have more but I agree that any more than that could become costly and very time consuming.

Just a few more months guys...been waiting for this since last year!

Is there a link or spreadsheet with names and ages yet, or is that something someone's planning to do? Or is that something I can do to help? We'd need cabin numbers (I'm GTY status, so we're still waiting on ours...). How do we know if anyone changes or gets upgraded at port?

Also, I was wondering if we can check with everyone about any food allergies. My kids both have allergies - DD8 is allergic to peanuts and DS5 is allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts. I'm curious if anyone else has allergies too, in case I (or anyone else) decides to do food...

I have this in an excel spreadsheet - it's not keeping the spacing in the post like I've got it...? I needed to organize the info so I can start gift hunting/making! 102 days! Hey everyone! How is it going? Our cruise is getting pretty close.

I have updated the first post.

If you want to participate in the FE, please fill out the form linked in the first post with your information as soon as possible so people can start planning.

I put in that we'll cap at 15 rooms and then make 2 groups. We are at 15 right now. So the next participant will put us at 2 groups.

Hey everybody, just wanted to check in. Sadly, I may have to cancel this cruise if the government shutdown isn't resolved in the next few days. As a disabled veteran, my family is heavily dependent upon VA compensation. If the government defaults it means my family will not receive any sort of compensation for the month of November...and there is also talks that they will not backpay it either, meaning my family would be a month behind in paying our mortgage and other bills.

That stated, if there is not a sign of hope by the 13th my family will have to cancel this cruise and obtain a refund to keep us afloat. My wife and I are very saddened for doing that (if it comes down to it) because we so desperately wanted to surprise our children with the cruise this Christmas.

I'll let everyone know if we had to cancel. If you could keep us (and many families also affected by this shutdown) in your thoughts and prayers, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Oh no!! I sure hope it works out. This is so crazy that a few idiots in DC can mess up so many people's lives by refusing to work together and compromise.

Cleaned up the FE list today for those that may have accidentally listed twice and contacted those who were not listed. The list looks great and almost complete.

Started planning what we were giving each room this morning.



Once the list is complete, I will create maps of each deck and mark the rooms.
