New folks, I'm not trying to be the downer police, in fact I think the DIS is a great place to hang out and discuss a lot of these things that have been brought up, but people should be aware of this policy. Many people who were on this thread a year and a half ago have been banned due to violations of this policy. I'd love for everyone to stick around, but keep in mind the moderators are strict about the following, and I quote:

We recognize that there are other options for hosting these discussions, but have begun to receive complaints about the way some of these options have been managed - excluding some members, private forums, argument about who is "in-charge", and meet discussions hosted by people not even on the cruise.

I am not an authority, but I'm guessing that they don't allow it. People who are interested could post here, and you could keep a list. I know its a pain but there aren't all that many here. I think the FE that I'm coordinating is up to 5 now.

The moderators are very strict regarding outside communication and links to external sites beyond the DISboards. To join the FE hosted on the DISboards, one must post their information here. Those of us who are deeply rooted in the DIS community do not wish to risk infractions for suggesting otherwise. I hope you understand.

It's not too late to join, in fact you are just in the nick of time!. I was going to be cutting off the list on Friday. That gives everyone a month to prepare the FE gifts.

Just post your stateroom number, family members, ages of children, favorite colors and characters for each family member. I'll update the list by the end of the week with your information.

One of you asked about how the FE works. What you need is an actual fish extender. You can sew one yourself or you can order on off of Etsy, that's where I got mine. This is my Fish Extender, you hang it off of the fish outside your stateroom door. The fish is for delivering messages from the staff to your stateroom, but it has turned into a hanging item for gifts in the Fish Extenders.



It's encouraged that gifts are handcrafted, but they can be anything you think folks would appreciate. You can give one gift for the entire stateroom, or individual gifts for people in the room. That is why we have listed the option of favorite characters and colors in case anyone wants to customize the gifts. It's up to the giver whether you want to do one gift for the cruise or little gifts daily, from my experience most people give one gift for the cruise. Unfortunately due to Disney's recent policy change airplane size bottle of liquor are no longer allowed on board. Those used to be popular gifts on the ship for the adults. Here are a few of the gifts that I've received on previous cruises.
