My family is joining the fun! We originally booked a 5 Night Western for this coming March (it was an on-board booking), but we are now building a house, so we decided to push the cruise to a later date after the completion of our home. We settled on Thanksgiving week so the kids wouldn't miss school, but when we saw that this cruise had one extra night, one extra port, AND was cheaper, we decided to forget school and go in October. My kids will be in 4th and 7th grades, but they are good students, and they are given up to 5 days of excused absences for family trips. The make-up work will be worth it!
Our family consists of me and DH (we both turn 40 in the next two months), my DS who turns 12 next week, and my 9yo DD. This will be the fourth Disney cruise for DH and me and the third for DD and DS. As a family, we have done the Dream to the Bahamas and the Wonder to Alaska. DH and I also did the Bahamas on the Magic. When we sailed on the Dream as a family, we didn't get to dock at Castaway Cay because of high winds, so my kids are especially looking forward to visiting there. It was painful to sit on the verandah and see it, but not be able to dock!
I plan to head over to the Facebook page soon. We are excited for this trip!
