OK, this is going to seem strange to some of you, but I've lived in New England all my life and don't own a pair of winter boots. Haven't for YEARS, lol.
Anyways, I will be working in an office come Monday (finally have a job after raising children for 18 years!). What do women wear for boots these days? I'd prefer to avoid the galosh type look, would like something a little more professional? (is there such a thing?)
And what do you do with your heels? Carry them in a bag to work each day during snowy weather?
I also don't want to spend a fortune on winter boots that I'll only wear traipsing to and from my car with...
Thanks ladies! (and don't laugh at me, lol!)

that I will wear on the non-snowy days just to keep my feet warm. Rarely unless it's flat shoes or my clogs do I wear my shoes to and from work that I will also wear all day.
