Women are great at that.;)I love all the Epcot resorts. I would choose any of them over Wl. I love them all. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The deciding factor for me is usually which one I can get a GV room with a discount.

I guess I'd recommend BC, though going with YC should be about the same experience, the exact same price, and you get the use of Stormalong Bay. I prefer WL over EPCOT area resorts, and the much lower price is not the least of the reasons.

But if you have to be in the EPCOT area, BC/YC should do fine. Boardwalk is about the same distance from the Intl. Gateway entrance of EPCOT, but the pool area doesn't look quite as nice as Stormalong Bay. I don't know how important that is to your family, though. From any of these resorts, the EPCOT entrance is about a 5-minute walk, and the DHS entrance is about a 15-minute walk or 20-minute boat ride away. They're very convenient to these resorts. If you feel like you'd spend more time in these 2 parks than MK, then maybe an EPCOT area resort is appropriate this time.

There is the option of Swan/Dolphin, but they are a slightly different experience than the usual Disney resorts (especially since they're not Disney resorts), but they do have a stop for the boats. These resorts are farther away from EPCOT, though, and they price things differently than Disney (such as a mandatory "resort fee", parking fee, etc.)

think thats what we want to do...epcot deluxe with a discount and deluxe dining to enjoy the food....

We love the Beach Club, and when we don't stay there we miss it. We just stayed at WL last week for the first time and really liked it. Such a pretty resort. But we love the BC b/c of the location. Easy to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and visit the Boardwalk. And the pool is great.

Fighting words..lol

I'd go with YC or BC. Does your DD like to swim? They have an awesome pool :)

It is our prerogative :good vibes We stayed at BC last Aug, and loved it.
SAB pool complex is great, so is the walk over to Epcot, and walk or boat to DHS :thumbsup2

YC shares amenities with BC. So it just depends on which decor appeals to you more.
Also something to consider- BC has a small quick service in the back of their resort store. YC doesn't, so you'd have to walk over to BC if you want to grab something. I believe YC has a limited selection of (cold) breakfast items in their bar off the lobby. Which is why we chose BC over YC, otherwise it's much the same with different theming. And all YC rooms have full balconies. Some BC rooms just have a small standing balcony. We had a full one.

we know we can only afford std or garden view probably this time...if that makes a difference. we DONT want a service or rooftop view...

Boardwalk Inn has No fans?????

DD will be 21 at the time with her 21 college roomate. so kiddie stuff isnt as important...

also hearing Yachtsman steakhouse is closing???

I would request a garden view if its important to you. Standard does live open the possibility of getting a rooftop view. Views generally are not a huge issue for me as usually when I'm on my balcony it's the end of a long day with a glass of wine so I'm basically chilling. I've gotten just about every type of view and been ok with it, so take my opinon with a grain of salt.

I think the epcot resort area will be great for your young adults. The broadwalk has a lot of entertainment at night and they can walk over to Epcot.

Yachtsman steak house is closing for refurb. According to allears it will be closed 8/25-9/15. when are you going?

we're huge BW fans... but for your age dd and her friend, I'd suggest BC/YC because of Storm-along-Bay. They'll enjoy that pool complex much more than the BW pool. Everything else is the same (being on the boardwalk, close to nighttime entertainment, close to Epcot, rooms are similar, etc).

Enjoy!

I went with 25 yr old daughter to BC. She loved it too. All resorts have kiddie pools, so not sure what you think is kiddie about BC :confused3 SAB is a wonderful pool complex. I esp loved the lazy river area. Bought pool noodles to float around on. It was great in August!

We had a GV room, it was wonderful. And under $10 less a night then standard view, very worth a few extra dollars.

Personally BWI doesn't appeal to me, esp scary clown pool. If I want to stroll along the Boardwalk, it's only a 5 min walk from BC.

I love both BC and BWI. :goodvibes. For me I decide if I will be there at a time when I am likely to get good use of the pool. If so, I select BC. If not BWI is my favorite.

My last trip was mainly between BC and WL. BC was a bit much so we went to WL and now I can't believe I even considered going to BC. WL is one of the best (and probably most under appreciated) hotels at WDW. Entice them with a courtyard view, that will surely make them agree with WL.

Love Love Love the BW. I think the BW is the best for adults. It has a nice lounge(love sitting out on the balcony watching the entertainers) and pool bar. The BC is more familyish(I just made that word up). The YC is also a great adult resort.

We love the Yacht Club, and you are assured of a full balcony there. BC is great also, but some rooms have only step balcony.

I love going to the Boardwalk, but they have no restaurants in the resort itself (have to go on the Boardwalk) and I just don't really care to stay there.

we are leaning towards YC/BC. dont like the fact of no QS at YC and heard poor reviews of captains grill. looking more like BC could be our choice with garden view????

Im liking the lazy river thing........im looking for romantic setting for our 30th anniversary and letting the college girls do their own thing. more than likely being on 2 different intineraries for daily excursions...

We have already done WL for a week....Poly 2x for week. disney cruiseline 2x.........

think its down to BC or WL again. but we talked about new experiences and leaning to BC. just hope we are not disappointted...

YC or BC!! Both are great............can't wait to get back.

yep...im about to wash my hands of this planning(not really)...should have never let them see this website for planning....

first they wanted WL.....then got change to BWI then to YC

NOW they are asking about garden wing garden view room at Contemporary Resort. I am not against it but i know "NOTTA" about it. I always thought it was cool but over the yrs wife said looked too sterile to her. Now she has thoughts of trying it out after reading about room size and refurbs since we saw it last...
...........

reviews(lately).. thoughts? i will say the transpo options are a big plus since we will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan...we like the parks but not "alldayers" like some diehards.

i need a beer...............

Personally, I would not stay at the CR again unless it was in the tower. The rooms are the same, but they just had a different vibe to me.. felt too removed or something. I agree with your wife that the resort is a bit sterile in feel, but the tower views and activities are what make up for it. It just feels different when your room is in the center of everything, but maybe that's just me. The location is definitely good at the CR, but not better than the YC unless you plan to spend the bulk of your time at the MK and monorail resorts. I'm also not that nuts about the lack of CR grounds and the meh pool.
