Not sure if I can post the link in here or not but its in the Orlando news. Maybe you can google it. iI I can post the link I will.. Please dont fall for this stuff be very careful where you buy your tickets. You have no idea of knowing most times if they are used or not untill you get there. I buy my tickets at the gate or on line at whatever theme park I am going to and never had any problems. Living in south Fl my entire life I saw this scam start years ago. They shut a bunch of the road side vendors down . Just sad in this economy people would do such a thing.to correct what i posted the women was arrested in california not fl , but Fl had a simular thing about 15 years ago with venders selling in kissimmee at road side stands. Now they sell them out of lobbies in hotels but not sure how legit they are either..

Wow, she looks scary :scared1: I don't understand people falling for this stuff :confused3 On craigs list there are always people selling (or listing anyway) tickets for WDW. There is NO way to know if they are used or not until you get there. If they haven't been used once, they're generic to anyone, but why would people want to buy and pay big bucks for such risk :confused3

Even if they been used once say for a 3 day pass how do you get past the birometics scans? you cant.

It said that she was selling them on International Drive. I wonder how long she waited after being arrested the first time to set up shop again, and how long she sold them before being busted.

I've never tried to do anything illegal, but in 2011 my family and I had to rescan our fingerprint scans a few times across several days since it wasn't working. It's not a fullproof system.

Another option- last summer the CM said it would be easier for DH to just scan his fingers for the kids. Which worked great until I took them to the waterpark by myself. Doh! They had to override.
Here in SoCal you can always find someone on craigslist or Facebook trying to sell their used day on the 2fers.

when we have taken my son ( autistic ) they push a button and it lets him go through. he hated putting his finger in that machine to do the 2 finger scan. now i see they changed it . nothing I dont think is fool proof not even me making choc chip cookies but gosh are they yummy even when they look like cow plops ( keeps the kids waay too ) hehee :)

Here is the link to the Sentinel article. And we do have ways at both the turnstiles and Guest Relations to tell if a ticket is not legitimate.

do you have a link to the new way they were trying out instead of the finger scan i thought it was a card? We would like to try and get my Autistic son back into the parks and anything to cut off a tantrum with a 18 yr old is helpful. thanks for the article too :)

Out here in Cali they don't have the scanners. So it is very common out here. Isn't there some major bad juju for ripping off Micky? I find it terrible that they take advantage of folks this way.
When we go to the World we either get our tix through AAA in a package or if we are putting our own package together we use Undercover Tourist. Why go all the way out there and take a chance on a "too good to be true" and shady deal:confused3 Then you are stuck with bad tickets and either have to purchase legit ones or worse :scared1: scrap the trip. Very sad that some folks will try to turn a buck like this.

The method that was tested did not eliminate the finger scan. It used RFID technology to read the ticket but still required a finger scan.

And what you can do is when you get to a turnstile let the Greeter know that your son is Autistic and will have a problem with the scanner; the Greeter can override the turnstile.
