My husband is immune to the effects of the look. I actually just put something about that in my trip report . He just doesn't get it. He will probably not be alive for the next trip report. hahahaha
I don't know about the rest of the ladies out there, but I inherited mine from my Mom. Everybody who knows my Mom, knew me and my sisters right away, just by how we act and "the look."
The look is part something you learn from other females in the family and something we develop. I'm great at 'the look' and have mastered it to perfection: I'm a female and teach 7 year olds all day! My kids have learned not to go any further when they have been given 'the look'!!
I've seen the power my wife wields over our kids with the look, and I wanted the same results. Nothing but laughs is what I get. Gina, for some reason I believe you have a professional caliber Look, right?
My poor DH learned what "the look" was very early in the relationship. He gets several different looks OFTEN. There's the mad one, the disappointed one, the I'm pmsing one, and so many more
Now...let me tell you..my grandmother is the MASTER of "the look". Tiny woman...sweet as can be...never says a mean word or raises her voice...but she can be in a room full of people(adults and children) and when she has to give ONE person the look...the whole room becomes silent..we all know that Mimi is NOT happy and the person responsible for that is in for it.
DH tried to combat the look one time. He asked what? Do you have a problem? Well, he had a big problem for the rest of that week and he has never challenged the look again! LOL!
He was 16 when he first got the look. He was dumb to try to combat it..but he learned. And yes..when he tries it..my 3yo and I start laughing at him...which makes him start laughing.
