.... I went for my yearly this morning and she thinks I have fibroids. I have a good friend who suffers from these so I know a little bit about them.... She put me on the pill to try and help... but my friend has had little success with this treatment. Wanna come to my pity party? It could be A LOT worse... so I guess I'll focus on how fortunate I am!

I had these when I was pregnant, but apparently they shrunk. I certainly would have never known I had them, but I guess they showed up on the sonogram.

I hope the medicine works wonders for you, mermaid.

Fibroids are not a problem unless 1) you are bleeding a lot or 2) you want to get pregnant. If they become bothersome the surgical treatment will be different depending on whether there are more children planned...either a hysterectomy or a myomectomy (removal of the fibroids). Good luck!
