As a joke, I think I'll suggest "I'm Going to Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair" from South Pacific. It doesn't quite pack the punch that some of these more modern songs do, but I bet it was pretty militant for the '50s.

As less of a joke, but still soundtrack - one of the best break-up songs, IMO - "Many a New Day" from Oklahoma. I think it holds up (and could cheer up) well.

Jodee Messina. A funny side note...I saw a race car parked on the side of the road on a trailer one day as I was heading home. Painted on the back of it is "My Give a Damn's Busted". Yes, I stopped to take a picture of it. Gotta love camera phones.
