"Woman Scorned" Songs?

Not sure who sings it, but it's country (maybe George Strait?) - She Let Herself Go

Also, Meredith Brooks' song that I can't even type the title of here, but it rhymes with witch.

Guns 'n Roses - I used to love her (but I had to kill her)

STAY AWAY FROM RASCAL FLATTS!!!!

oooh, thought of another from my club day, but can't remember who sings it..."Short _______ Man".

The Dixie Chicks have a dozen of them but if she needs a laugh-Goodbye Earl will do it.

This is the last Day of our Acquaintance -- Sinead O Connor

Troy-- Sinead O'Connor

Goodbye to You- Scandal

Hit Me with your Best Shot--Pat Benatar

If she was cheated on, she should definitely listen to Forgive by Rebecca Lynn Howard. I also like This Time I've Hurt Her More Than She Loves Me by Conway Twitty.

Oh my! I think I just found my new ringback tone for my soon 2 be ex!

I Will Survive-Gloria Gaynor
Before He Cheats-Carrie Underwood

Those are the only 2 she'll need. ;)

Ooh, I just thought of some. I had to go back to those painful years from my teens through my twenties. :scared: Thank goodness for repressed memories!

Blame it on Your Heart - Patty Loveless

Well all I wanted was to be your one and only
And all I ever got from you was being lonely
Now that dream is laid to rest
Cause you have failed the test
Hey blame it on your lying, cheating, cold deadbeating,
Two-timing, double dealing
Mean mistreating, loving heart

Someday - Mariah Carey

You'll change your mind and call my name
Soon as you find they're all the same
And when you find yourself alone
Don't come back crying
You should have known
Believe me I'm not pretending
It's not hard to predict
This ending now
'Cause I know you'll soon discover
You're needing me in spite of all the
Others

I'm Looking for a New Love - Jody Watley

My love was true
Still you threw it all away
But now you’re like the rest
Unworthy of my best
Hasta la vista, baby

:thumbsup2

Carrie Underwood's been mentioned several times and I think her "Wasted" song is a good one.

As a joke, I think I'll suggest "I'm Going to Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair" from South Pacific. It doesn't quite pack the punch that some of these more modern songs do, but I bet it was pretty militant for the '50s. :rotfl:
As less of a joke, but still soundtrack - one of the best break-up songs, IMO - "Many a New Day" from Oklahoma. I think it holds up (and could cheer up) well.

Many a new face will please my eye, many a new love will find me.
Never have I once looked back to sigh over the romanance behind me...
Many a new day will dawn before I do.

Never have I chased a honeybee who carelessly cajoled me.
Somebody else just as sweet as he cheered me and consoled me.
Never have I wept into my tea over the deal someone doled me.
Many a new day will dawn,
Many a red sun will set,
Many a blue moon will shine
before I do. :)

"Never Again" by Kelly Clarkson

I was going to say that. I will also add, "Since You've Been Gone".

Oh, I almost forgot...the one from the "Wedding Singer". It's the one Adam Sandler sings to Drew Barrymore. He says he was listening to the "Cure" when he wrote it, but as it goes along it starts to sound a little more like Heavy Metal. Love it!

One more...this is bad...but oh sooo good...Eminem, "Puke".

Nother' one...boy have I been broken up w/ lately. ha ha

I don't know who sings it, but it's bleeped out on the radio. It sure does make me feel good to sing it too. "She !$#king Hates Me"

I know such profanity for a Disney lover...

"I hate myself for loving you"

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

Linda Ronstadt...."You're No Good"...I wanna say it again....Oh yeah!

SheDaisy...."Little Good-Byes" and "Lucky 4 you"

Phil Vassar (or Jo Dee Messina)..."Bye Bye"

Patty Loveless......"You can feel bad"

Jennifer Hanson.."Beautiful Goodbye"

My absolute favorite:

Ugly Girl by Fleming and John
The music is light and fun ...
but here are the lyrics:

When I saw you at the grocery store
you were sharing a shopping cart with her
and I couldn't turn and run away
I didn't know what to say
you introduced us for the first time
and I had to look her in the eye
but you could not imagine my surprise

can't you see you're leaving me for an ugly girl :rotfl:
does she talk about politics and all the stuff that used to make me sick
does she smoke cigars and stay up late oh she's so great
does she tell you what you want to hear
and I bet that she can grow a beard
I'd feel better thinking you were queer
it's not fair I can't compare to an ugly girl

ha ha ha the jokes on me
I feel jealous and I feel mean
is she so nice that it makes up for her face there's no way
do you have to keep your eyes closed
do you have to keep the lights down low
oh I bet you wish you had a blindfold can't you see
you're leaving me for an ugly girl

This one is for later when the "Im sorry" starts. Terry Clarke..."I've got Better Things to Do"

And "My Give a Damn's Busted" -- don't know who sings it though.

Jodee Messina. A funny side note...I saw a race car parked on the side of the road on a trailer one day as I was heading home. Painted on the back of it is "My Give a Damn's Busted". Yes, I stopped to take a picture of it. Gotta love camera phones. :):cool2:
