Woman owned car service from MCO-WDW?

Hi all,

I recall over the past year reading positive recommendations for a women-owned car service that provides rides from MCO to Disney. For some reason, I can’t remember the name of it (but don’t think I’m making it up). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

And if not, what’s the going rate for a car service going from MCO to the Grand Floridian on Friday night of a holiday weekend? I’ve done both both Uber and private car services in the past and am just trying to decide which route I want to go next weekend.

Many thanks!

No idea of a woman owned car service unfortunately.

As for the cost differences for private car services, you can get an approximate cost of Uber/Lyft by pricing out Thanksgiving night same time as you’d be traveling on the Friday in question. I’m sure visiting the websites of Mears, Tiffany et al will get you the pricing you are wanting.

ETA oh dear! Just realized it’s next week you’re trying to price out. What’s the holiday?

Veterans Day is the 11th.

My travel agent sent this info, in case I needed to arrange airport transportation:
Ride with Sally!
Sally is a cast member with Disney and also does rides to and from the airport and all around the area! She has a Toyota Highlander that can hold 5, and does have a car seat or booster if necessary. You can set up a ride with her here Ride with Sally! Please let her know I sent you!
I am not sure if the link works or if I can post it, but if you are interested, let me know and I'll send it to you.

I hate to say this, but this is not a legal operation. She charges less than Uber/Lyft, so absolutely no way does she have the proper permits or commercial insurance.

We use Tiffany Town Car and it's $120 one-way before tip for an SUV. The sedan is cheaper but I like big cars.

I don't think you can actually make that determination based on cost alone. Uber/Lyft has a lot of other costs factored into their pricing that a person doing this on their own would not have. For example, Uber/Lyft has a $7 per pick up fee that a private person wouldn't probably have.

Unlike Away We Go, this vendor is not licensed to operate at MCO. This means they are not running their business in a legal fashion which puts the passengers at risk and gives them an unfair advantage in the market vs the legal operators. You can easily see all the licensed vehicle for hire companies that can pick up at MCO here.

(By the way, this shows either a very concerning level of incompetence by your TA or your TA is getting kick backs from this illegal operation at your risk.)

Even so, commercial insurance rates and airport permits would drive her out of business with those prices. She is also not on the list of approved Ground Transportation providers at MCO.

That's also important to know for insurance purposes as a passenger. THX.
