I would love to hear about Wolfgang Puck's "Upstairs Dining Room!" "The Chef's Tour" menu sounds wonderful! :upsidedow

I'm curious about it too. We liked the Cafe but weren't wowed by it. Interested to hear some experiences with the Dining Room.

Totally different atmosphere. The down stairs restaurant to me was loud and chaotic. At the time you had to give the hostess your drivers license for the pager. When ours went off, my husband was given someone else's license. He noticed immediately, and they looked the rest of the meal for his license to no avail. Finally the manager came over and offered dessert but we were stuffed. The manager ended up taking care of our entire meal. About 5 days later they called and we went and picked up the license. Overall the food was good but it was very hard to carry on a conversation.

Cut to a couple of years later. We decided to eat up stairs. When we arrived we were immediately led up the stairs. It was much more quiet than down stairs and the lights were dimmed. I liked the menu much better and the service was good.

I think next time we probably try Upstairs. We didn't find it too loud in the Cafe but we were seated outdoors on the patio. I can see, though, how that would be a problem inside. We found that the food was a little on the "chain restaurant" side, like it would be the exact same if we went to another Wolfgang Puck's. Does the Upstairs have a more unique feel? I suspect it does.

We ate there a couple of trips ago, and I did a review. I'm having trouble with the Search feature this morning, but once I figure things out, I'll post a link to my review.
Essentially the upstairs is more quiet--but there are ALWAYS kids, even up there. It does have a nice view also. The menu is more limited.

We went sept.7th and did the chef tour for our aniv. It was the best meal of our trip and we had a lot of great meals! We had an awsome view and the service was incredible. I was stuffed by the time we were done. I would go back in a heart beat!!!!!!! Very quiet and relaxing. We did not take our children but their was some there. If you haven't tried it you should

We did upstairs a few years back (before we had kids) and really enjoyed it. It was romantic and the service and food were excellent. We were able to sit next to the window overlooking the lake.

Sorry I looked it up and we actually did the four course meal it is not posted on all ears net but it was excellent. The chef tour is posted there and it looks like it is around 7-8 courses.

Is the Chef's Tour like the Chef's Table at V&A's only at Wolfgang's?
