 Hi all! I just made an ADR for Wolfies for my May trip. The menu looks so good! Does anyone know if any of the sushi is allowed as an app on the DDP? Also what did you enjoy there?
Thanks in advance!

when we were there in August, sushi could only be ordered as an entree. DS had wanted it, but didn't want it bad enough to have it for an entree.

We had dinner there in December and the sushi was considered an entree on the DP.

We really liked the bbq chicken quesadilla and the spring roll appetizers, the shrimp and scallop pasta, and I loved the carrot cake.

I've heard that the filet is no longer offered, so don't plan on getting that. :sad2:

Hmmmm. That stinks. I'm sure that is what Hubby would want.
I will probably end up getting the Sushi as an entree. With appy and dessert it will be more than enough I'm sure :goodvibes

Does anyone know if this is true? That is probably the main reason why I made ressies for Wolfgagng Puck's. I heard it was sooo good. So it is not on menu or not offered for DDP?

I would also like to know if the filet is no longer going to be available. I was planning on eating there in December but may rethink it if the filet is no longer on the menu.
Thanks!!!!!!
:)

I canceled our ADR there because some other DISers posted that it is off the menu. DH didn't like the looks of the other offerings, so we are dining at Spoodles now. I'll see if I can find the other thread....

The Wolfgang Puck Cafe menu on AllEars, which is usually the most current, is dated January 2006. I went to the restaurant's website at wolfgangpuck.com and looked at the Orlando DTD menu. I don't know...hopefully their own website is current! The entrees included:

Pan-Seared Salmon 18.95
Parmesan Crusted Chicken 16.95
Florida Grouper 19.95
Wolfgang Puck’s “Adventures in the Kitchen” Meatloaf 16.95 (this actually sounds delicious...read the description!)
Roasted Whole Chicken 14.95
Puck Burger, ½ lb and fries 11.95
Steamed Mussels, 1 lb 15.95
Schezuan Marinated Angus Sirloin Satay 26.95
Grilled Angus N.Y. Strip 31.95

And of course, the pasta, pizza, salads, etc.

Chocolate fondue is on the menu (again, I'm not sure if it's up to date, but it IS the restaurant's website) -- but I'm going for the creme brulee sampler :goodvibes Even if I have to pay OOP. Even if I have to sell my firstborn...well, ok, maybe not...

I checked out his website also and although there are some items that are the same, it is missing the Filet Mignon.:sad2:
Can anyone who has dined there recently comment?

I suspect that we'll see a much clearer delineation between the options offered "Upstairs" and those offered downstairs at the cafe. "Upstairs" offers a NY Strip and filet mignon. ("Upstairs" is, of course, more expensive, and does not participate on the Dining Plan.)

The filet was not on the downstairs menu when we were there in December.

Hmmm...well...if you look at a T bone steak...the NY strip is the "bigger half" and the filet is the "smaller half". Since NY strip was on the downstairs menu on the web, maybe WP is serving the other half of those T bones upstairs :teeth: Filet is nice because it's soooooo tender, but a steak cooked on the bone has a lot of flavor. I was kind of sorry not to see ribeye on the menu. Ah well, menus change all the time, chefs like to be creative -- I love salmon, and might try that, but believe it or not...the description they gave of the meatloaf looks wonderful  Even if the creme brulee is gone, I'm sure I find something else wonderful to try for dessert. It's all good! :goodvibes

I had heard too that the meatloaf is supposed to be really good as well.:)

I had the meatloaf last June and did not like it at all. DH had the macadamia crusted chicken and it was fabulous. I was so jealous. The spring rolls and the sushi are also fabulous.

I'm going to have to look the menu over again...but I'm definitley thinking about that chicken for this June.

Oh, man...and it sounded so good, too: "bacon wrapped veal, pork and lamb, garlic mashed potatoes, port wine sauce, crispy onion rings"... Oh well, guess I'll just make up my own recipe at home based on that description :rotfl2: I'm sure there will be many good choices, even if the menu is totally different, and even if there isn't a filet -- or a NY strip -- in sight. I really do love a good steak, but if I'm trying a new restaurant, I like to try out their house specialties, to get something I can't have anywhere else -- and do my best to talk DH into ordering my second choice, so I can try both  Oh...I am devious... :rolleyes1

I'm really looking forward to this meal -- we have reservations right after La Nouba, and then plan to check out Raglan Road and the clubs on Pleasure Island. Should be a lovely evening :goodvibes

They may have changed it, then. My meatloaf definitley didn't have any bacon wraped around it or anywhere near it. I don't remember getting onion rings, either. The meatloaf actually tasted like it had a BBQ sauce on it...not good.

Is the Wolf's steak or the Weinerschnitzel still on the menu? We're going next month & were really looking forward to them as well as the fillet.
