Wolfgang Puck's Cafe v. Portobello's

Which would choose, Wolfgang Puck's Cafe or Portobello's and why?

Portobello's was good, but Wolfgang's is excellent. We repeat there almost every trip. We may go to Portobello again this next trip simply to do something different. It will be hard to resist the pull of Wolfgang though!

Never been to Portobello's, but it HAS to be better than Puck's! That was absolutely the worst meal I ever had at WDW. I couldn't understand how it could be so awful when the Puck's Express is great!

I say Wolfgang Puck's. Portabello Yacht Club has really gone down hill over the past few years. It has always been really expensive, but the food and service were top notch before too. The menu is pretty diverse offering meat, shrimp, fish, chicken and pork as well as a few different pasta dishes.

However, WP Cafe has something to please everyone. The menu is large and offers great pizza, pastas, big salads, large selection of appetizers, sushi, ribs, chicken and fish entrees. It is a little more reasonably priced for what you are getting. We have always had great food and service here.

We've been to WP a couple of times and both times it wasn't really that great. The servers were nice but I didn't really get the Disney feel from them, and as for the food, it was good but, IMHO, wasn't really worth the money. Both times, we've gone there because everything else was crowded or we didn't have an ADR made for that day or something. Either way, I would take the PYC over WP, definitely.

We had dinner at Portobello last week, and both my husband and I had AMAZING meals! A special lobster/pasta dish was divine!!!
Service was very good as well.
The last time we ate at WPC was in August 2007, and ir was just "ok".

Kevin on the Podcast has done reviews for both PYC (twice, once in August, and once last week) and WPC (in Dec.) in the past six months, and his reviews of PYC have been glowing and he's convinced me that that's a place I must have ADRs for on my next trip. WPC, however, just sounds overpriced with poor service and mediocre food.

I've eaten at WP twice and very much look forward to eating there again. It is a MUST for us on future Disney trips. We have had excellent food and service both times.

We've dined at both Portabellos and WolfGangs and over all we prefer WolfGangs. Both were good and we will dine at each again. Our problem with Portabellos is the pasta (red) sauce is on the bland side. All their other dishes are very good.
