Can anyone share a review of WP Cafe and/or the ("upstairs") Dining Room? I'm looking for a pre-Cirque dinner spot. Thanks! :)

This is our favorite restaurant! You can't go wrong with the Cafe (1st floor) - they have a very wide selection, from pizzas & pasta to sirloin steak. Upstairs (2nd floor) is fancier and more pricey, they have a few more selections, plus a few from the cafe. We've never eaten upstairs, but eaten at the Cafe and the outside Express many, many times and highly recommend them!

Love the cafe! The food is well prepared, generous in portion and the waitstaff has always been more than capable. If you like sushi, their selection is very innovative!

I've been there 3 times and enjoyed it each time!

Thanks to both of you! I think this meal will be my treat, so I'm glad to hear you don't have to go up$tairs to get a good meal! ;)

We ate at the Cafe last month. Had a PS (I think they are only available prior to 7:00??) and was seated immediately. The waiter seemed in a hurry to get us to order, but the food was all quite good. I had a spinach salad, mom had a cheeseburger, dad a chicken parmesan (very good), DH had (I think) fettucini and DS had macaroni and cheese (very good, but like $6.95 for child's portion). We also enjoyed the creme brulee trio for dessert.

Hi, We ate at Wolfgang's Cafe on a whim last December. We mainly ordered the specials, and the food was really good. the waitstaff was very knowledgable and attentive. The food was complex without being too far out (squid over white fava beans and that sort of stuff that I will NEVER eat).

The atmosphere was fun. We will definately go back. Sandie

The Cafe has been a favorite of ours for some time. Many good choices. It does get crowded and noisy as the evening gets on.

We dined upstairs once and doubt we'll be back. The food was OK but not spectacular as you'd expect from the prices. Much more limited menu. Our biggest disappointment was with the service. We had two waiters who at times were too chatty and at other times nowhere to be found! This was probably 3 or 4 years ago though so perhaps service has mproved.

My DS2 and I did have a less than great experience this past summer at the Cafe which I haven't posted about but think that I will and get it out of my memory bank!:D We went for an early lunch. I believe we were the first patrons and it never did become busy while we were there. We were seated by the door to the kitchen!:o Now I know I should have asked for another table since there were probably 70-80 tables open! But I didn't....next time I will. As we were seated I noticed that most of the seats in the section had what appeared to be speckles on them. Turns out they were bread or cracker crumbs. My son needed to eat at this point (diabetic) so we ordered. He loved his lunch as always but I didn't have much appetite at this point. I imagine whoever was vacuuming mixed this section of the restaurant but we didn't return in Nov. and I don't have plans for our next trip either. I did mention it to the folks at the podium as we left. This was unlike any other trip to the cafe for us though and I know we'll eventually return.

We ate in the dining room last March pre Cirque and it was wonderful. It wasn't crowded at all and the ambience it beautiful. The service was out of this world, we had 4 servers for our table. Now, the important part....the food:p I haven't had better food anywhere. This became our very favorite restaraunt.
Oh, and try the cantaloupe martini....a little pricey but worth the splurge.

We ate at the upstairs dining of Wolfgang Puck's a year ago. It was one of the BEST meals we've ever had in WDW. The service was excellent, courteous, helpful and knowledgable. Our meals were fantastic and it was hands-down the best creme brulee I've ever had. We ate in the evening and had a table near a window. It was really romantic.
