Wolfgang Puck DTD Question

I decided to book Wolfgang Puck, but according to Allears, there are 3 different places by him. First is the quick serve, the second is the Cafe, and the third is The Dining Roon which is upstairs.
I just wanted a reservation for the Cafe, but when I specified this to the CM on the phone (that I wanted the Cafe and not The Dining Room), she had no idea what I was talking about. She even asked her supervisor, who had no idea what I was talking about.
So my question is, are there three seperate dining areas all run by Wolfgang Puck, and how do I make sure I made the reservations for the correct place?? Is The Dining Room a two credit, while the Cafe is only one??

I believe there are 3 different 'locations' one is a table service and the other 2 are quick service. From what I hear (on the boards , of course!) The marketplace quick service is better than the west side quick service. :goodvibes

If you've made reservations for the main restaurant, which is where youv'e called, then your fine. When you said dining room, you should have specified "the dining room upstairs". Then they would have known. That place upstairs is more expensive and not on the dining plan. Did you tell them your on the dining plan? Call back if your not sure. So to answer your question, yes there is a quickservice, a regular dining room (on the dining plan), and the fancier more pricey dining room upstairs (which is not on the dining plan)

I did specify. I told her that there are two different sections - one upstairs that says its fancier, and one thats called the Cafe. She had no idea what I was talking about, and neither did her manager.
....Maybe I should be a CM - I knew more about it than she did!

The Marketplace - Wolfgang Express - is AWESOME and is a quick service restaurant on the DDP.

I think it is probably the best value of all the QS places on the plan; although too expensive for OOP, in my opinion.

Oh dear, thats strange. Maybe they got rid of the upstairs dining room then? Lol! Lets hope someone with more info chimes in. :confused3 But im pretty sure you made ressies at the right place thou. So i wouldnt worry too much. ;)

Here's a link to Wolfgang Puck Cafe on the Disney reservation page:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/wolfgang-puck-cafe/

The * is explained at the end of the menu as:

* All foods are cooked to the recommended 2001 Food Code requirements
unless otherwise requested. Consuming raw or undercooked Meats, Poultry,
Seafood, Shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness

The confusion on the part of the CMs while making your reservation might be because some of the call centers are far from DW (outside of Florida) and many of the people staffing them have never even been to DW. They're probably confused because the entire restaurant is called the WP Cafe. The more expensive one upstairs is WPCafe - The Dining Room. It is not on the dining plan. WPCafe (the first floor venue ) is on the dining plan for 1 TS credit. Finally the WPExpress of which there are 2 venues in DTD are counter services and don't take reservations.

My advice would be to contact the restaurant directly. Here is a link to the website. Across the top there are links to "The Cafe", "The Sushi Bar", The Dining Room" and "Express". Explore each of those to see where you want to eat. Just below and to the right of "Express" is the link to the "Contact" info, complete with phone number. Whenever I have wanted to dine upstairs, I have always made the reservation directly so as to avoid disappointment and confusion. I assume that if you are reserving through WDW, they are putting you downstairs. So if this is what you want, then I think you are probably all set. But to be sure, you can contact the restaurant.

Got it backwards. At the restaurant on the West Side, there is The Cafe and The Dining Room which are TS. There is one QS there. Adding to the confusion is that there is a completely separate QS location in the Marketplace (near Rain Forest).

So in all, there are 2 TS and 2 QS. But one of the QS is completely separate from the main building on the West Side.
