Wolfgang Puck Cafe?

A friend and I are going for free dining in Sept and I'm considering eating at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. The menu looks like something we would like. Have eaten at the express, but not the Cafe. Anyone who can tell me about their experience here?

My wife and I ate there one late afternoon while at Downtown Disney, because I was curious about it as well. I worked for WP, as a chef, while in Chicago for about 7 years. The restaurant featured the "classic's" such as the Chinois Chicken Salad and the signature pizzas, but I was a little disappointed because other than bearing his namesake, the restaurant is no longer owned and operated by WP. With that being said, most of the dishes on the menu didn't reflect the WP California-Asian cuisine that became his signature dining experience. The food was good, but I wouldn't return based apon the variety of other great restaurant within Disney.

My family and I really liked it on our last trip. We have ADR's planned as well for our next trip in August.

I enjoyed the food at WPC very much. My meal was delicious, and the key lime pie dessert was one of the best I've ever had.

We were there around 9pm, and it was HOPPIN! A very trendy, more adult sort of atmosphere IMO (definitely NOT to suggest that families would not enjoy -- my DD 8 liked it as well). I think you and your friend would like it a lot, especially if the menu sounds good to you!

I ate at WPC with my best friend on our graduation trip. While it was certainly not the best meal on our trip, it wasn't the worst meal either. What I liked the most about the restaurant was the menu- it's quite extensive. Our waiter was also great, and made us laugh a lot. (You could call it flirting...) Compared to the Disney-fied ambience at a lot of restaurants, this one does not have such a strong theme, which could be a plus in my book.
