Has anybody had any luck with doing a walkup to Wolfgang Puck Cafe (not Express) in the last couple of weeks?

I just dropped the ressie we had there, I goofed up after we changed the dates we are going to WDW and realized we had a date/time we wouldn't be able to honor. The CM told me they are now only doing walkups(I think during the free dining period), but she was really nice and said that should work in my favor for us getting in, and it would be like waiting for a table at Chili's or Outback.

Its one restaurant my DS really wants to go to, and after making some stellar :wizard: reservations for other places, I bungled this one!

So if anybody has any words of advice or wisdom for dining there (like if its easier to get in on a weekday, or dine really early or really late), please post them! We'll be at WDW the last 2 weeks of September. Many thanks in advance!!

We had ADRs for last Thursday night that we had to cancel. I asked about switching to Friday but was told they were only taking walk-ups. Fully prepared for an hour or more wait, we showed up Friday night about 6:45 and put our name on the list and were given a buzzer. The buzzer's range is from Planet Hollywood to Cirque, btw. They even asked if we preferred inside or outside seating. 20 minutes later our buzzer went off and we were seated.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The food was AMAZING and there are two vegetarians in our group of four. The Asian style spring rolls are to die for and the 4 cheese artichoke dip? Omg. The service was awesome, too. Have a GREAT time. We did. After dinner we spent a couple of hours watching the band and Irish dancing at Raglan Road. SO much fun.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the reply! I've been eyeing those spring rolls too. :goodvibes

What can I say? We have a Wolfgang Puck fan in our midst, so we'll go and wait it out!

We were seated almost immediately (at a patio table, which we requested) on a Friday night last month after La Nouba (early show).

GREAT food and exp.
