Hello Everyone- Wanted to pay it forward. My family ate at the new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill on Christmas Day and it did not disappoint. I found very little information on it prior to our meal so I just wanted to share our experience - particularly since it was one of the best meals on the trip.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It opened a month or so ago (with a soft opening before that) and it is still shiny new. The host stand is in the front outside of the restaurant and they were super courteous and kind. We were seated promptly even though we arrived 15 min prior to our ressie. The restaurant was busy, but not full. I couldn't get a ressie after 4:30pm on any of my days on MDE this past week. I'm not sure why - maybe the restaurant was truly booked, but it seemed like they were holding back on a few tables - maybe because they're still new and working out the kinks?

The menu is short and pretty accurate online - although we found that the prices on the actual menus were slightly higher than what is on WDW's website. For instance, the spaghetti is listed on the menu WITH meatballs (although you could definitely order them without) and the price is $26 vs. $15 online (+$6 for meatballs = $21). Because it was Christmas there were a couple seasonal items such as the prime rib, which my dad ordered & was the right choice, for $49. I shared a pizza and full salad with my husband and it was absolutely delicious and fresh. My mom ordered the pappardelle and it also did not disappoint. We all ordered beer and wine, etc. The prosecco was sold out so they replaced it with champagne.

The service was phenomenal. Our waitress was new to the restaurant, but she was helpful & we have no complaints. The food came out pretty quickly. Heads up that the restaurant does not offer a DVC discount and does accept Disney gift certificates.

We ventured by the pizza oven on our way out and the two chefs there were so kind & eager to talk to us about the pizza. They mentioned that we should come back & order their salmon pizza, which is their specialty. At $29 I sure hope so! The area by the oven is absolutely stunning with beautiful sunlight streaming in. There is also a number of seats at the pizza bar overlooking the oven which were all empty. Perhaps people aren't aware of this restaurant yet, but definitely a wonderful spot to try if you don't have a ressie & want to walk in.

The front part has a grab & go section that has to compete smell-wise with the chicken quick service across the street. The gelato and other sweet treats looked wonderful and there was no line.

Again, a wonderful experience & one of our better meals this trip. I highly recommend this restaurant. We can't wait to return. I do think it's an improvement over the old Wolfgang Puck Cafe and the staples are still on the menu, such as the famous carrot cake. The butternut squash soup has changed slightly, but still good! :)

Thanks for the review. Glad to hear it was such a good experience for you all.

Thanks for sharing. I’m looking forward to trying it. Sitting at the pizza bar and chatting with chefs sounds like fun!
