What can you all tell me about the Cafe. Since DH and I are staying at SSR this trip, I wanted to try a new restaurant out. We're using the DDP so I am rather limited in selections and DH does not eat any sort of fish/shellfish.
You're kidding. I thought it was the opposite but I admit to not paying very close attention. That is too bad.
Anyway we love the Cafe. Really good food and a huge variety. We do prefer it at lunch as it isn't so crowded then. It gets very busy and noisy at dinner. I understand it is a favorite with locals.
BTW when they did accept DDE, there were no exclusions. Even alcohol is covered. With the DDP I think you paid OOP for entrees over a certain amount at WPC.
It definitely accepts the DDP. I used it there last month.
I really love Wolfgang Puck's. The food is really good. I've never had a bad meal there. I love Grandma Puck's Bolognese Pasta and the filet mignon. Great food.
Well, good thing we didn't try using DDE there last month then. Too bad though. That discount is so nice WPC may be off our list now. We tried Raglan Road for the first time and really enjoyed it. That restaurant does take DDE.
Wolfgang Pucks is fantastic. The butternut squash soup is on my must have list every time we go to WDW. Another favorite is the Linguine with tomato and basil. They cook the sauce up fresh right in front of you and toss the pasta in. Wow, so yummy. Your husband will have plenty of choices. If he's a pizza guy, they have some of the best pizza I've ever had. Enjoy Pucks, it's great.
I didn't realize they had stopped accepting DDE. Too bad. Probably won't change how often I go though, I love the place. Their sushi of the day is always great. I also really enjoy their butternut squash soup. I generally get a different entree every time I go, and I've enjoyed all of them. WPC is my favorite restaurant at DTD.
We used to love WPC, but over the past couple years we've seen a real decrease in food/service. Our most recent visit was terrible, some of the hot food came cold twice, service wasn't very good, and they are renovating so it is very dark in there and it seemed more crowded than usual. For us, without them taking the DDE, I don't see any reason to return.
One more question. Someone mentioned that when you are seated, there is a chance you are seated outside "al fresco" instead of inside the actual restaurant.

We have requested a table on the patio a number of times when the weather is fine. It is a pretty view of the lake and SSR across it and very peaceful in our experience. It is NOT the seating you see in front of the restaurants which is for Wolfgang Puck Express.
But if you prefer to eat inside just request it when you check in.
