I admit that I do not know all of the Prince's names! I know it's Cinderella and Prince Charming, Ariel and Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn...but Princess Aurora and ?, Snow White and ?, and any others I've missed. :confused3 Does anyone know? :sad2:

Prince Philip and Snow Prince

Aurora and Phillip.

Snow White's prince wasn't ever given a name. He was just "The Prince."

Have also seen that when the Beast was a prince, his name was "Adam."

Yes, I first heard this when POR opened its Royal Guest rooms in March--his name is cited there.

Snow White's prince's name is ... Prince! That is how he is listed in the credits.
The Beast also does not have his name mentioned in any of the movies or shows.

On a side note - we never know the name of Lady's female owner in Lady and the Tramp, she is always referred to as "Darling". We know her male owner is Jim but is referred to as "Jim Dear" by both Lady and "Darling".

ETA - just found that although her name was dropped to emphasize the perspective of the dog, Darling's name was Elizabeth in pre-production. I love this stuff!!

:confused3Did Disney officially give him a name? I've only ever heard him referred to as Beast. If you ask Belle in the parks, she laughs and says that she has called him Beast for so long, she can't remember calling him any other name.

That was her name...Darling! :lmao:Remember the scene when they have a "We're having a baby" party and one of the female guests says "Darling you have never looked better...didn't I just say the other day that Darling looks radiant..." or something like that. I know the friends referred to her as Darling.

Now JimDear's friends did call him just Jim b/c calling him JimDear would have just been weird!;)

Just found that his name was "Adam" but that is only found in some video game, The D-List, or something like that.

And in certain rooms at Port Orleans Resort, as I mentioned above.

I think if the original film creators never put a name to a character then it doesn't 'officially' represent them. Disney can name whatever it wants retrospectively as a corporation, but I like to think of each film being created by a number of artists (funded by Disney) who produce their art as definitive. You can't just come along and impose names or anything else that the actual artists never established in their source. That would be like the Mauritshuis naming the Girl with a Pearl Earring Betty.

I feel the same way about sequels really. To me they don't exist. They're just ripping off the source characters..often poorly.

Just FYI there's also

Tiana and Naveen

Pocahontas and John Smith (although he's not really a prince)

Mulan and General Li Shang (also not a prince)

Merida of course has no prince - at least not yet

Jasmine and Aladdin

You do know that most Disney films are not original stories, right?

Hope this helps

There are 10 "Official" Disney Princesses

1st Snow White & (spouse) The Prince
2nd Cinderella & (spouse) Prince Charming
3rd Princess Aurora & (spouse) Prince Philip
4th Ariel & (spouse) Prince Eric
5th Belle & Beast (Prince Adam according to Wikipedia)
6th Princess Jasmine & (spouse) Aladdin
7th Pocahontas & (significant other) John Smith (until the video then her love changes to John Rolfe)
8th Mulan & (spouse) Li Shang
9th Tiana & (spouse) Prince Naveen
10th Princess Rapunzel & Eugene "Flynn Rider" Fitzherbert

You're kidding!

I just respect the whole team who make each feature a complete adaptation. Unless the entire team who created those characters for the Disney versions return to their creations, I don't consider it canon. It's an entirely personal point of view.

Helpful. My little girl and I were discussing this tonight as I couldn't remember if Prince Charming belonged to Cinderella or Snow White.

princess: Thank you everyone! This was so helpful! My DD5 has been was watching a youtube video of all the Princesses and Princes/the different couples and kept asking me so and so Prince's name! I made the mistake of saying "I don't know if he has a name." She was appalled...of course he has a name, she insisted, everybody has a name. :flower1:

I need to be up on all these names before we head there in September.

I thought Snow White's Prince was Charming - when she is at the well & is kinda dreaming she says that the Prince is Charming

His name is probably Englebert or something like that. Or he uses some little squiggly mark for a name and becomes the Prince Formerly Known As Prince.
