Does anyone know if WOC will be showing in Dec during the holidays? I assume they would be but I wasn't sure. We are going the weekend before Christmas and dh hasn't seen the show and although I said I wasn't going to mess with the dinning again he wants to see it and I want to get a better shot at seeing it. We did it in June and didn't know where to stand so didn't really get to see it but NOW since I know where to go I would like to give it one more shot. I thought about the picnics but figured since know I NOW the drill I think our best chance is the dinning option since you never know what you are going to get with the picnics and I DON'T want to stand in line for the fps.

Any ideas?

I would like to be able to make our ressies at 60 days out so that is why I am asking. Thanks for any info.

WoC is on the schedule all the way out as far as the park calendar goes.
While the Pixar parade is running midweek into the offseason they have just just cut back the showings of WoC.

Unless you want the expense or meals that the WCT and Ariels have I would consider the picnic meals. I'm not sure by what you meant by "you don't know what you'll get" because it's pretty orgnaized now.

The reason I say that is because everyone I have talked to said that with the picnics you don't always get the same color section. Sometimes you get blue sometimes you get yellow and there are no real "guarantees". At least with the dinning you are at least guaranteed that section (the dinning section). Now while you AREN'T guranteed WHERE in that section you can stand or WHO is going to stand in front of you if you know to get there as early as possible and try and get to the front railing you have at least an odds on chance of seeing. With the picnic meals you aren't always guaranteed what area you are going to get or where you are going to be placed IN that area from what I have read at least. And since dh hasn't seen it before I didn't want to take the chance since we did the dinning and didn't even get to see it last time because we went a week after it opened and didn't know where to go. NOW I have read a lot more and I also know from when I was there pretty much where to stand so I feel if we do the dinning we have the best chance at seeing it.

Ok I understand what you are saying. Yellow is just a little worse than blue.

What really counts as what you noted is where you stand. Which no ticket guarantees.

I'm curious why so many times in these boards people spell dining, dinning.

What an irrelevant and unnecessary comment. It's really not a big deal. I'm curious as to how you know that people chronically misspell words when you haven't even been around here for very long.

As to the OP, I'm pretty sure if you order multiple picnics, they will all be the same color section, if that is what you are concerned about. Overall, as long as you arrive very early for the show, you can find decent seating/standing room in any section.

Saw WOC for the first time Thursday with the Wine Country Trattoria dining package. Wow. Having eaten several times at WCT before they closed for renovation I was not exactly excited about the food. What a change. It was $34.99 for adults and $18.99 for kids and was well worth it all the way around. The food was perfect and included salad and dessert for adults and appetizers and dessert for the kids. Everything we had (party of four adults and two five year olds) was top notch. Service was great as well. The reserved seating for world of color was great. I would not hesitate to recommend this option.

Totally agree with you Cat.
I think WCT was by far the best meal my daughter & I had at DL, and the WOC was amazing!

DLR29 thanks for stating what I was going to say as well. I am really amazed lately at how it seems people on these boards seem to go out of their way to find reasons to pick on people sheesh. Whatever!!! Sometimes I misspell something because I forget or sometimes because I type it really fast and I just forget to go back and check the spelling but in the scheme of life who cares really??? GEEZ. I will say what I say to my kids I think it is REALLY rude to correct an adult on their spelling even if you KNOW it is wrong. I would NEVER do that and I have seen people with REALLY bad spelling mistakes on here but I NEVER correct them because A it is just rude and B I don't ever assume that they just don't know how to spell or perhaps like me they were just in a hurry and it was a typo.

Anyway I guess what I don't get it is how off base this whole thing got. I simply asked if anyone knew if it was even going on in Dec. I didn't really need a debate on what the best section was or anything else. I had heard some people on here mention that they weren't sure what the schedule was going to be and the calendar only goes into Oct. I am ASSUMING it will be going on during the holidays since that is a busy time but I just wasn't 100% positive and I know some of the people on here have more insight than others so I was hoping to hear from some of them.

As for the sections, having already GONE once I can tell you that even having BEEN in the preferred dining I really wouldn't want to stand anywhere else. EVEN there it was hard to see because at that point we weren't sure where to stand and what we THOUGHT was a good spot turned out NOT to be because we ended up getting blocked anyway. We didn't want to stand all the way up front because we were afraid of getting soaked but NOW we know that that is pretty much the only way to go. So armed with that knowledge we know to get there as early as possible and go to the front. I UNDERSTAND that there are no guarantees but I have also done this once before so I at least have the forsight to know what NOT to do and what I SHOULD do this time.

I would not want to take a chance with just the fast passes nor do I want to waste half my day waiting in line esp at that busy time of year so the picnics were the only other option and I have heard that you can get any number of different colored sections and again no guarantees as to WHERE in that section you will be seated so therefore I just figured since my dh had never seen it I wanted the best possible chance and thus we would probably go ahead and do the dining one more time for the best chance. Not saying I may not try the picnics sometime in the future but since he has not seen it and we didn't GET to see it last time I want to have a better than average chance this time. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks to Cat and Shelly. I appreciate the input and although I have heard good things about WCT we ate at Ariels and really enjoyed it and I think for our particular family that would be our preference but I am glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your replies.
